Party stuff again - terribly frustratedFollow

#1 May 18 2006 at 12:06 AM Rating: Decent
Man, I am terribly desperate to find people to party with. I spent 2 hours looking for a party tonight with zero luck. I am a level 17 warrior who is ready to spend lot's of time leveling up. Is there anyone out there who can help me? Anyone looking for a steady warrior to party with or any advice? Please, someone give me a reason to keep playing this game. I want to play it but cannot and will not waste hours looking for a party everynight.

Try to hook up with one of these people, they will be able to help you out: Argent, Krisnyanya, Enzouryuu, Sheren, Pindarus

Thanks all.

TheDoger, you mentioned finding this list of people:
Argent, Krisnyanya, Enzouryuu, Sheren, Pindarus

Who are these people and how could they help me?

Argent is Thedodgers character and the rest are his friends. He mentioned them most likely so that if they are leveling in your range they will know your name and invite you into a party.

Sorry not trying to make this sound like a flame, it's just an observation from someone who played 2 years. If the game seems like a job to you, and you don't enjoy waiting hours on end sometimes to get a party or get something done, ffxi might not be a good game for you.

Like Nieko said, start your own parties :)

Dude thats harsh, besides I don't know anyone who gets all excited about logging on to FF11 to go lfp for hours on end it gets to all of us. As for the feel like a job sometimes the culture of the game makes it feel like that. Just scan these forums and about every third or fourth thread has someone talking about how they farmed for 10+ hours to buy this item and farm 10+ hours a week blah blah blah the atmosphere of the people you often interact with in the game makes it come across as a job. This is becouse some of these people don't have jobs or a life so the game is the only thing they can have a sense of power from as a result they basically become in game bullies (No offense to anyone who is currently unemployed or without a life many of you are great people and most of my friends IRL fall in this group)

Shinkyo, this game is indeed for me. I'm too stubborn to just give up my progress so far. I am completely new to MMORPG gameplay so I guess it's just a matter of me learning how things work. I would start a party but I'm still learning the roles of an effective party. I probably wouldn't be an effective party leader at this time.

I'll get there. I'll give it time so I can meet some people. Hehe, I think if I buddy with a like leveled white mage half my battle of finding parties will be over :)

It might be helpful if you post which server you are on. I have many LS mates that are leveling jobs in your range.

Yup,that's me alright! As I was trying to say, and missed the point entirely, is that these are my best friends on this game, people I trust as sackholders for my linkshell that will know who to invite and help out. They are very helpfull of new players and old ones alike.

We have a couple players in the ls that are around your lvl range, if you want to join up ShadowMinionsX, just /tell one of the above mentionned and I'm pretty sure you'll find help, advice and a party to get you started on your rise to 75 :)

Your not obliged to join, you can just contact us when the need arise and we'll be happy to help out but just so you know, most of our Newbs are starting on they're sub job and rank 3 Missions and it'd be easier for you to join up in these if your a member, it's up to you.

So with this being said, feel free to drop by sometime and good luck on your partying :D

Wasn't trying to be harsh D:. Was just reading his other post and I know some people have to drop out of a party and go without a word (some firemen I knew that played at work between calls as an example) and it gave them very bad reputations, your party rep is everything, if you ruin it with a few people it get's harder and harder to find parties or even make them. Sorry if I came off harsh, and if you really like ff go for it, I did for a long time, hell I still would if I had the time to play, but most NA linkshells just don't do event's when im on with my irradic work times. Listen to Nieko, he knows all :D lol.
