if i had any evidence that a single member of my LS botted i would bring it to the leaders attention (they would be kicked almost immediately) and then you bet your *** i would warn the shiva community via these boards. im not certain EVERY linkshell bots but i can tell you i dont pick on zenmetsu because its the cool thing to do and i certainly wouldnt call another LS out for doing something if anyone in my LS were suspected of doing it. just wanted to make it clear that my reasons for disliking that LS is not to draw attention away from myself or my LS.

I think it's really funny how so many players now approve the use of cheat programs in FFXI. Where as 1-2 years ago it was seen as taboo.

Rationalizing and/or approving the use of bots is like saying it's ok for pro athletes to use steroids. Yes, I know that's real-life and this is FFXI. But do you see the point I'm making?

And sports are merely games but when a baseball World Series is rigged people complain. It's just a game too, right? Thousands of people play this game, when your actions effect someone else in a negative way, people are allowed to complain. When you cheat to negatively effect someone, they have a reason to ***** about it. If you were getting ****** over I know you wouldn't just sit there and take it, you'd say something about it. Sorry if I have something called 'morals' and 'ethics' and don't want to break them.

Also, Hiei - No, I DO NOT KNOW of anyone botting *except* Zenmetsu. I don't know where you come up with that **** but I have not found nor seen anything close to proof of anyone botting other than Zen.

The issue is players that cheat to win, while pissing off the rest of the community that plays by the rules outlined by the ToS. It doesn't matter that ignorant peons like yourself believe botting to be the accepted standard in FFXI end-game. IT'S STILL AGAINST TOS. I guess you failed to notice that on your own, eh? Just because someone else uses a bot doesn't make it right for everyone else to do so. It's a total lack of ethics, and gross rationalization. It screws everyone else out of their fun.

Cheating on console games doesn't affect anyone else whatsoever. And cheating on a school test doesn't affect anyone with the exception of the cheater. Where as in a community driven game, cheating affects everyone. Your analogy fails.

Berate or criticize, yeah. But who said anything about castrating certain players in FFXI? That would be a little harsh in my book.
