Ever strike up a conversation with the new RMTs?Follow

If you're looking for a good laugh, see if you can get a conversation going with one of the billions of Rank 1 Bastok 20+ no-sub gilsellers that have popped up. They don't like to talk, so it's a difficult task. But if you succeed you'll likely be quite amused.

Saw this guy on my mule, assumed he was just a newb that needed help, had myself a good laugh. Later saw him in Korroloka as a 25 whm with no sub. I asked him if he ever got Cure II. He replied "i so it". o_O I asked again, and he said "no". That was the last I've heard from him.

I was finishing up a mission when this guy, a 25 blm no sub, rank 1, only wearing 2 HQ rings, HQ wand and HQ robe, randomly began following me in Upper Jeuno. I decided to test him a little. Notice he never denies that he is RMT.

Anyhow, if I get any more funny conversations I'll post 'em. ^^ If RMTs are good for anything, it's a good laugh.

I wish I had this whole conversation, but here's most of it. His responses were each spaced at least 5 minutes apart. A good while later he asked me, "coin?" I said "No! No money! No coin!" Not entirely sure he was RMT since he was /anon, but it's still a funny conversation.

They aren't all like that. I actually met a new Superstar RMT last year, she was very nice to me and asked me for advice on how to play. I even let her join a ls i was starting up at the time. Sadly she never loged back on, I don't think their boss likes them interacting with normal players which could explain the horrible way they speak.

Thanks Taku. ^^ I haven't seen you in quite a while! We've gotta manaburn again sometime.

And I have a feeling they have horrible English not because they don't desire contact with normal players, but because they're HK, it's just not their first language. But still. Even that doesn't explain Nokesr's freaking hilarious responses to my questions, such as "%555555555 i nocan he". XD

While in Qufim I ran across an RMT pt. Someone had called for help and I chased the giant and killed it but it turned out to be an RMT pt that called for help. Then while resting mp their Whm, a female hume, asked for 10k gil. I said no and he/she asked "You boy?" I /nod cause why the hell were they asking that. After I nodded he/she removed all her armor and walked around me naked, asked "You like? Please 10k help me out."

XD I just had to laugh.

There was a rank 1 taru in Rabao today with suicidal phrases in Rabao. O.o

Stuff like, you make me sad inside, you can't help me. I want to die.

I started to call a GM and alert them as I was concerned, but alas, there is no, "OMG man there's a taru on the ledge! He's gonna jump!!" selection on the help desk menu.

I know what you mean, I'm really not liking the new batch of RMTs. I remember I was in Sandy about a week ago and my bard was getting to Ballad level and was trying to get people to do the quest. A RMT responded because I was offering a reward and said something like, "Quest, what you to do have?" and I knew he was an RMT, level 20+, Rank 1, Had on like a robe and a dagger. So I tried to explain it because I was having trouble getting people, so I was at my wit's end and I told him, "Well all we have to do is get 6 people from the same race and nation and the reward is Ballad if you have enough fame." So he responds with something like, "{Huh!?} I don't understand English, I'm sorry." And I kind of laughed because he had said more stuff in mixed up English. So I told him, "But you've been speaking English for like 10 minutes." So he finally said, " {I don't understand English} {I'm Sorry}." So I just moving on and wish he got hit by a truck.
