I just wanna say this to all who suddenly began a casino.
Please stop with it.
A week ago someone began with a Casino. (dont say his name, dont wanna be a traitor)
This worked for him very good.....
I also played on his casino a few times so i dont say i hate it.
Then a second Casino began near the Fountain when the first Casino was AFK.
Then a third one began a Casino....
Now there are more then 9 different Casinos!!
On almost every position at Lower Jeuno is someone with a Casino now!
WTH you guys thinking?! Jeuno is not Las Vegas....
Im tired of this cause its hard now to find quests or missions partys when ppl shouting cause the casino ppl shout as well, not 1 line in a few minutes but 5 lines every 15 seconds!
Its damn hard to read the shouts we can use.
You can see 8 lines max. on screen and cause of those damn commercials every 15 seconds its almost impossible to read the shouts for craft, missions and quests.
They all maked macros for shouting so you see 4-5 lines in 1 second.
It look something like this:

Only 1 casino, ok, its fun when your borred, but not those damn high amounts of gil, it ruins the game.

actually casinos were very big a while back. it was even worse then than it is now. for some reason theyve come back recently. no idea why but you are right about one thing: they are super ******* annoying.
Who goes to Jeuno anymore?
Normal people still go to jeuno, especially since the lag in whitegate is ridiculous. Sad to say that a friend of mine had to be added to my casino blist this evening, i warned him that everyone hated it then he spammed something like 6 lines of crap about it being a poor person casino ><

I don't really like the casinos. I mean, I guess the idea isn't too bad. If you want to throw your money away, then there's really nothing anyone can do to stop you.
I don't like what the casinos turn into. Almost five minutes after someone starts one, someone will go to the casino and boom. All you see are the person that bid their gil and the casino person arguing back and forth over people who scammed who. It's pretty annoying. :/

I black list them all on the spot; Not only are the odds dog sh*t, but they all know nothing about odds or gambling as they all advertise X2 odds. However, in a real casino X2 odds means you if you bet $1 then you WIN $2 in which case you get paid $3. your original bet is not part of the payment people.
All these casinos trade you back your own money as part your winnings and say it's X2 odds but in reality it's X1 or otherwise know as even money cause half of what they pay you was already yours.

You know there are ways to cheat at their casinos, all you have to do is know how the /random works.
basically the # you roll is the millasecond you hit enter.
1) find a millasecond clock
2) synch it to SE server time
3) compensate for lag (takes practice)
I tried this a few times on casinos but they stopped letting me play so i just end up talking **** to all the newer casinos around. GL, and enjoy killing casinos 1 at a time.

Actually, casinos play word-games all the time. I'm sure you've seen the billboards that say "Come to ____ Casino. With a 96% payout, we have the loosest slots in town!" A lot of people see that and say "I have a 96% chance to win!" In reality, you actually have a 100% chance to get 96% of your money back. (And you wonder why they say the house always wins?)
If you really had a 96% chance of gaining money, you'd actually have a 196% payout.

Slots are actually the worst pay out, out of all the games in casino's slots return the least amount of money to the players. they suck you in with cheap bets, and sure 1 person might win something decent, but the pay outs over the entire floor are awful. some places have free slot tourny where you play for 30 min and who ever has the most points at the end wins a cash prize. they have elected machines only for this and they adjust the payouts up a lot on those machines, so later you see the same type of slot on the floor and are like wow i was winning a lot on that type of machine before, then they sit down and get sh*t on. the free tourney was all a scam to get people to think the machines pay more then they do

Casino's first began appearing on Shiva around June 2004, I've heard multiple people say they originated them, and Bastok and San d'Oria both claim to be the first zones to host them. Starting cities were much more populated than they are today.
They started to pick up around late July, early August during the Summerfest event, when even more people rushed to the cities to participate. Especially for the level capped event when you had mega sneak/invis and were warped to beastmen strongholds. I held onto my Dire Candle for a long time lol.
Anyway, back then they were used more as an added attraction, and nobody really seemed to care. Rush to the city, goldfish scoop, do some events, shoot off some fireworks, and play 200gil at some casino. Then go back to leveling. They died out for a bit, then really came full force Winter '04, up until SE made some changes with bazaaring and whatnot, and changed some clause or another to the ToS when bunches of people began getting scammed. Sucks that they're back now, but what are ya gonna do?
People will gamble at them anyway. My advice is blist them and move on. It's just another fad, and sooner or later it'll die off, then even later it'll come back and die again. Just an annoying cycle. Best way to get rid of them as quick as possible, don't give in, /blist them, and ignore 'em.
