If ppl dont know what to do:
1. Talk to Brutus at the Chocobo Stables Upper Jeuno (CS)
2. Choose: Release the Chocobo (CS)
3. Go to La Theine Plateau Position E-5 near the Ronfaure zone.
4. Examine the Chocobo Footsteppes and get a CS
5. Go back to Brutus at the Chocobo Stables Upper Jeuno
6. Talk with Brutus (CS)
7. Go to Southern San d'Oria Chocobo Stables and talk with the elvaan you saw in the last Brutus CS
8. Choose every option in the CS one time.
9. Go back to Upper Jeuno Chocobo Stables and talk with Brutus again (CS)
10. Wait 1 Real Life hour
11. Zone in and zone out when the 1 hour is over
12. Talk with Brutus (CS), after this you get a Chocobo Egg.
13. Go to your hometowns Chocobo Stables and trade the egg to one of the npcs, dunno wich exactly. Its one of the npcs you saw in the CS.
You completed the quest.
Now you can ask for all info on one of the npcs in the Chocobo Stable and watch how your egg/chocobo is doing atm on another npc.

thanks a lot for posting this. I checked a few places and I couldn't figure out how to start this....I'll be using this guide soon.
I have one small correction. You have to wait on game day change to get CS that gives you the egg.
Well, when i was at:

11. Zone in and zone out when the 1 hour is over
12. Talk with Brutus (CS), after this you get a Chocobo Egg.
I talked to him at 22:00 (gametime).
I waited till the next gameday 01:00 and i didnt got a CS.
So i heard i had to wait 1 rl hour.
I waited 1 rl hour and still didnt got the CS
So i zoned out/in and then i got it

I did the whole quest in about an hour with Xylos and we both got CS about 10 minutes after we left the Sandy stables so I dont know what is going on. We did the zone in and then out of the Upper Jueno step. I'm not sure if you even have to wait the day change since the day had chenged on us en route back to Jueno. Maybe someone will try on same day and post result.

Might be a fun pastime. Kind of like leveling your npc, not game breaking but something to do.

I am on Day 3 with my egg. I visit it every morning. So far *it looks like it's trying to get out* or something like that message.
You need to get going and grow that baby choco - so we can get ours married! *wink*
