here is a good one that lots of people say from time to time.

step 1 get level 75
step 2 join an endgame LS
step 3 get burnt out
step 4 take a step back realize its only a game
step 5 go back to enjoying FFXI.

theres another version of that too:

step 1: get 75
step 2: start an end game LS
step 3: get burned out
step 4: keep playing
step 5: repeat steps 3 and 4 indefinately
step 6: vanish into thin air

Doubt that's what you're looking for though :(

grind out the rdm to 41, cause thats where the fun starts. once you get to 75 and manage to snork into an endgame shell, things are very fun and varied. dynamis, limbus, and the boring drama filled endgame HNM/sky hunts

if this game isnt appealing by the 41+ range, i doubt you'll have much fun playing at all. until you get past the subjob levels, the game is very boring and tedious. you could always go play some generic free MMO that doesnt require partying

...Or look into leveling a job like BST where you can actually do what you want and not need a full alliance to get some of the more difficult tasks done.

You are not giving it a chance really. There is alot of content in this game to enjoy, however, you need to be higher before you can really begin to enjoy it (or even participate in it).

IMO, if you did not enjoy the game as Hume -or- Elvaan, switching to Taru may make it better. I really dont believe it is going to make THAT much of a difference, though.

if your bord at 30, just quit, seriously, it only gets worse. after after 55it takes 10k per level, everything becomes a tedious headache getting af, and once you get to merit you spend hours in a pt that if good, gets 10k+ and hour which is one merit per hour, and it never gets exciting...just...yeah when your not dieing or dead, the most fun you can have is staying alive and watching your logs to see how much dmg you did on you last ws so you can brag to your ls about it. and hnm is not treat, spending hours camping a nm sometimes just to lose it to rmt and you get nothing in return, 3-4hours in dynamis where you can expect to die at least twice, and you might get to lot on your af2, whoopy.
changing your race wont nessarly make the game more enjoyable
neather will "grinding out" to 75
you havent even started playing the game at 30, and it only gets more time consuming with less in return...
the whole end game thing is about equipment, getting better equipment so you can better serve your hnm
the quest are cool and missions can be good times though, if you have the help to do them. good story lines at least, i'm going to regret never fineshing any of them, especially cop...thats about all there is to look forward to

LOL Msz that is SOOOOOOOOOO true ^^

Holy sh*t Ampyre I haven't seen you in ages!!!

And yeah, Ampyre is 100% right... If this game is boring you at level 30, it is my sincere and caring advice that this game is NOT for you. This game just isn't for everyone, that's why World of Warcraft is so much more popular. To me, this game is more like fan service for people who have liked previous normal Final Fantasy RPG's. Because those are the only people who could see true appeal in the game, and are used to the challenge in Square games. This game only gets dramatically more tedious over time. Getting a THIRD character is not going to change that for you.
