Folks;
I've seen one version of this question answered, but I'm not sure if it applies to this situation. I'm looking at enchanting for a possible trade skill for a mage. If I choose this, I understand that if I enchant some bracers, then enchant them again, the effect is an overwrite of the enchant (otherwise, we'd have +10000000 hp chest pieces, eh?). However, do they overwrite the existing bonus on an item as well?
Say I pick up a cloak off a mob I killed. It is a +1 int cloak. I think, Great, but it's armor is 2, or something. I want to enchant it to have more armor. Would this overwrite the natural +1 int that the cloak has currently, or would I then have a cloak with more armor that also still retained it's +1 int?
Thanks;
Kt
