ReleaseFreeWeb BasedPvP Drakensang Online

Drakensang Online developer Bigpoint Games announced on March 3rd that the game completely supports Macintosh users. It will require that OS X be updated to at least version 10.7 or higher. Jürgen Frerichs, Associate Producer of Drakensang Online stated that:

“Our aim is to provide everybody easy access to Drakensang Online regardless of the operating system they use. We are very happy to invite Mac users everywhere to join our large community centered on the best 'hack & slay' gameplay available, with truly outstanding graphics and an epic story. We believe that this will enrich the Mac MMO space significantly.”

Drakensang Online, a Diablo-esque browser based action RPG by Bigpoint, has announced plans for a new class. Joining the Spellweaver, Dragonknight and Ranger, players will now have the option to play as the dwarven Steam Mechanicus. Players will now be able to fight the evil hoards plaguing Draconica as a new class with new abilities and features.

Bigpoint announced today that Drakensang Online has surpassed one million registered players since the browser game entered open beta last month. They also used the opportunity to remind players that the Teganswall content update recently went live.

As far as future plans for the game are concerned, Bigpoint said that the development team also plans on expanding the game with other PvP features, including a guild system, arena battles, statistics, buddy lists and a PVP-only server.

Drakensang Online's first major content update is now live. Teganswall features new quests, new unique items, new areas and dungeons, new bosses and more. Check out the patch notes for all the details.

Bigpoint says that it plans to release more improvements in the coming weeks to areas like PvP and the skill system. A third character class and the second major content patch are also in the works.
