Assassin's Creed: Unity Delayed

The new-gen delays continue as Assassin's Creed: Unity gets delayed to November.

In a blog post on Thursday, Ubisoft announced that the new-gen installation of the Assassin's Creed franchise is getting delayed. Players will not have to wait too much longer however, as Assassin's Creed: Unity is just being delayed to November 11th for North America. This new launch date is only two weeks after the original October 28th release date.

In the blog post, Senior Producer Vincent Pontbriand said, "It's always hard to be precise and to quantify exactly how much work is involved. So as we get close to the finish we often realize we're near the target but we're not quite there yet."

The blog continues on to say that the developers will not be stopping on the ship date either, but will continue to work all the way through launch to offer a launch day patch. "We have a bunch of us who have spent two, three years or more on this project," Pontbriand continues, "It's a huge personal investment. People have been truly dedicated to this game. For them it's also important to make a game that they can be proud of."

The new November 11th release date will have Assassin's Creed: Unity launching on the same day as its last-gen relative, Assassin's Creed: Rogue. Outside of NA, players will be able to pick up both Unity and Rogue on November 13th.
