Beamdog in 2015: Adventure Y Teased

The developer talks about its projects in development this year.

Beamdog took to their blog today to briefly discuss what they're working on in 2015. First up is Adventure Y, developed on the Infinity Engine, covering the gap between Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition. Further announcements on Adventure Y are to be expected in late spring.

"Adventure Y is an Infinity Engine adventure. After Adventure Y we have some more projects in the works that use a more modern engine."Philip Daigle

Moving on to later in the summer, Beamdog will be focusing efforts on the codenamed Project: Beartrap. No details were really given aside from verifying its existance, mentioning that is may contain sharks, and stating that "it's a departure in terms of what we've done in the past." We can anticipate more details on this project mid-year.

Finally, Beamdog clarified that while they currently have no plans for a 5E Dungeons & Dragons game nor a Baldur's Gate III, they also have not completely put the idea off the table. The team referred to the Reddit AMA they held last month, where several fans brought up the topic.
