I stunned a sentry (forget which name) in Shadeweaver's Thicket and Groo's name popped up in Extended Target list. When I stunned the sentry again, he disappears until the sentry starts fighting again. The sentry was far aways from where Groo resides. Blurred the sentry and Groo was no longer threatening and back to indifferent.

Groo can be stunned but not mesmerized. I have a glowing drum which is as fast as knight's horses and he kept up with me, even catching up when he tried to cast a spell. I killed him and he has no faction tied to him.

This guy blindsided my 65 monk at bank. He definately a shaman (cast malaise and haste).

I've never had problems before, but i've done alot of killing in Akheva Ruins. So I wonder if thats the cause.
Groo McManus is one nasty SOB...

I dunno who this guy is or what he's for, but he's one mean *******. I, a level fifty-eight wizard, was collecting shadeling silks in the newbie area of Shadeweaver's Thicket just outside Shar Vahl for the Rallic Pack quest, when this big ugly Barbarian came up and started whaling on me. He ran at SoW speed, at the very least, and stunned me with his first hit; even though I was fully buffed minus Virtue, he proceeded to hit me for 214, 185, 209, 217, 217, 138, 160, and 217 damage as I unsuccessfully attempted to flee.

I don't believe I did anything to cause him to aggro on me, so it's possible that he's naturally hostile to High Elves or Wizards. *shrug* Whatever his problem is, make sure you keep an eye out for this guy. I wasn't but fifty feet from the Plane of Knowledge book, and he laid me flat.

He has a thing against wolf form too. I was running to the book and ran in front of him. That was enough to set him off and he killed my 24 druid in wolf form in 3 hits.

May the fleas of a thousand wolves infest his kilt for a year.

Wolf Form is KOS for most, if not all, NPCs in the Thicket, and, I believe, in Shar Vahl as well.
