Duo'd this guy today, 60 PAL with a 60 ENC. Wasn't too difficult of a fight, but he does seem to be rather magic resistant. Even with Tash on it, still took a few tries to get him Slowed and some debuffs on him, but after he was slowed, it wasn't too tough of a fight. Had to drink a couple potions, and toss a few heals to myself, but went down without too much of a problem. Runs at low heatlh. He was up in the north part of the zone. I don't really have any information about his spawn behavior, but I've been watching this zone since Velious launched 2 days ago (Oakwynd TLP), and haven't seen ANY corrupted mobs, but now I saw the unicorn and the faun within like 20 mins of each other, so if I had to take a wild guess, it seems that maybe they have a spawn time of a couple days. But take that with a grain of salt... it's a big guess.

lvl 55?

He just chewed through my lvl 65 necro pet. With 3 dots on him (no resists) including darkness and pet beating on him I only got him to 71% before he killed pet. And I was healing pet at the time. Conned highest blue. Hit pet repeatedly for 240. Major undercon.

Ya...I just watched a level 64 Pally get creamed by him....it was a long fight..but in the end the pally went OOM and he kept summoning him the hitting him in the back; so be carefull. I went to drag the corpse and aggro'd him....IF you do this and do not do damage to him you can run from him and if you get far enough away from him you will lose aggro...ONLY IF YOU DO NOT CAST ON HIM OR DO DAMAGE...also..I saw a coupl of these things on the NW corner of the lake..FYI...good luck
Watch Out - He Also Summons

As mentioned below he wanders near Sentient Suits - usually have seen him to the west of them when quadding. For the first time tonight I got too close and he added during my quad. I had been quading suits and had my pet bear aggro kiting the SS also. Corrupted Faun was magic resistant but I managed to snare him and continue quad and kill the Sent Suits. Even looted the suits while leading him around.

As I was able to dot and resnare this bugger I thought I would just settle in for a long long agro kite session dotting him and with pet bear trailing him. Surprise! HE ALSO SUMMONS!

I thought it was bad framing (sometimes mobs get hung up on all the trees in WL and seem to "pop" on you) but upon review of my log I notice:

"a corrupted faun says 'You will not evade me Arbrelax" and three "You have been summoned!" messages. By the time I realized that it was not lag popping I tried to cast Egress and died with 1 second to go on spell cast!

Luckily I had a Cleric friend with 96% rez available to come but the bugger stayed on top of my body for about 5 minutes. He disappeared while we were waiting out of range behind some trees (after summoning incident none of us wanted to test his ability to see through invisi) so don't know if that is another one of his charming abilities!

This guy is a major pain in the butt. Whenever I go to swarm kite the Sentient Suits, I check for this bugger on track first.

He doesn't see through invis so I have followed him around a bit. He stays basically west and south of the Sentient Suits......pretty much right where I like to swarm....grrr

Anyway, As with all summoners, he wont summon you until you do damage to him, so be careful. I even outran him the first time I came across him and was dumb enough to do dammage to it. I am not sure how I managed it, but I am glad I had virtue at the time. Maybe it was because I was charming Sentient Suits onto him.

he will pursue you relentlessly. I snared him on one side of the zone, then ran to other side of zone with sow. Several min later, I noticed him making a beeline for me. Ran to other side of zone and waited...sure enuf...a pest!

a corrupted faun says 'The branch has been broken and now shall be burned. Your ashes shall join the intricate tangle of tales carried by the winds.'

a corrupted faun was hit by non-melee for 9 points of damage.
A corrupted faun hits YOU for 213 points of damage.

Ouchies! Rude!

Aggroed on me near the Vox look alike dragon. While not 100% MR, it was close. Root won't hold at all...

This certainly doesn't look like a dragon. This guy wanders all over the north part of the zone, and is commonly on track while quadding sentients.

His colour is very similar to the seeds of the weeds growing in the area or the trunks of the trees making him very hard to spot. He is not large and his movement pattern seems to be move a little bit and sit and wait for a minute. Because of the combination of blending in and not moving much he's very easy to come up on by accident..

Did I mention he's kos to anyone I've ventured near him with.
