Stats from Somepage:

HP +3%
Strength +3
Intelligence -1
Attack +27% (Cap: 30@111 Base Attack)
Ranged Attack +27% (Cap: 30@111 Base Ranged Attack)

These are pretty nifty for low lvls (depending on your class also). So if you're low on gil, ask a friend to make these for you.

Woodworking lvl cap is 9.
WW cap
# Feb 25 2005 at 2:06 AM Rating: Decent
it caps WW at lvl 9 so you can go from 5 to 9 if you keep making these
WW needed is not lvl5

I made a couple stacks of these for myself to do some low lvl farming with (since mithkabobs are too expensive to farm with now that the synth has been nerfed) and wanted to amend the effects. I found the effects to be STR +3, INT -1, HP +3%, and my attack went up, but I am not sure if that was the STR up or a different stat bonus. It seems to me that these would make a nice food for melee to use (I have only partied past the dunes as a mage, so I can't say for certain) and it still synths a stack of 12, plus sheep meat is easy to come by. It seems that most ppl i party with are still stuck on mithkabobs, however.

I was still getting skill ups for woodworking at 7 woodworking. So the cap must be higher than 7 for woodworking.
Guild Points

U get 12 guild points per Sausage or 144 per stack.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 28 2004 at 8:00 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You do not need any skill in woodworking to make this item. This is a common misconception with recipes that have multiple skills. You need the woodworking skill to make the Maple Lumber from a Maple Log, which by the way can be made at Lv.0 . Once you have that, it's pure cooking skill. So if you don't have the woodworking skill to make the lumber, just buy some from the guild or AH and proceed to make this item as usual.

This requires a log, not a lumber. And yes, this synth does require a 5 woodorking.

I bought one of these the other day just to test it out and see if this thing was really worth it so i bit into it and CRUNCH! i broke most my teeth and splintered my tounge. To my horror i looked at the damn thing and found there was a f*cking HUGE log in it that some how i missed T_T....... I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE!!!

I Believe the cooking level is so high because b4 one of the recent updates, low level cookers actually put the logs in the sausages for a "little" surprise for the buyers T_T

It makes sense when you use a wood to smoke the sausage, and since they change the woodworking to 5 (unless that's a typo up there), then people shouldn't worry. I do understand where you guys are comming from (making sausage at 61, blah that's pointless), and yes it does sound rediculous. But oh well, gotta live with it. And for that one comment about "maybe this is how they make sausages in Japan", are you serious? That's probably one of the most stupidest things I've read in these boards.

Phoenix, the word abarud skipped the translator, please try again.
Aaaaaaaaagh!

COMPLETELY useless.
I can see it taking woodworking. Duh, to smoke a sausage, you need fire. But 61 levels? In both cooking AND woodworking? For 2 to strength and -3 to intelligence? Get real!
Petition to lower required levels in both cooking and woodworking to 3. -_-'

Heard from an NPC in Bastok that in the mountains, with a bunch of goblins, there's a fire you can use to convert sheep meat into sausages. NPC is in Markets, in one of the shops near the Gustaberg exit.

Level 61
# Jan 14 2004 at 11:07 PM Rating: Default
This is the dumbest thing to create at level 61 and requires 61 to be both woodworking/cooking. This should be like skill 3. +2 str only doh what a waste. After all my years of practicing over the stove i slave to make a good sausage.
Proffesional Smokers Only

You have to be an experienced wood worker to be able to properly smoke such a big sausage. hehe
idiots. surrounded by idiots.
# Jan 01 2004 at 2:18 PM Rating: Default
yeah, i am certain that square, being japanese, has the same connotation. perhaps they do, but seriously, we can tell who is 16 around here. nice humor.

it makes perfect sense. 'specially if this sausage is smoked. in which case you would need wood of some sort to smoke it.

#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 18 2003 at 1:52 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) The wood is probably used to roast the sausage, moron.
#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 15 2003 at 6:39 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) dude dont you get it? sausage, wood, square-enix are pervs lol
#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 10 2003 at 10:20 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Why the hell is sausage a linked skill w/ woodworking? Either this is wrong or Square Enix are getting weird on us.
