[Hunter] Dragons Soul Loot, No Guns AgainFollow

I was taking a look at the Dragon Soul raid loot and I didn't see a gun drop anywhere. I'm sure it's been discussed before but why the hell are there bow and xbow drops, but my dwarf can't get a gun? If they are not going to give us guns from raid loot could they at least change the dwarf racial to %1 crit to ranged weapons?

Ruinblaster Shotgun. Looks like a trash drop, and might end up as BoE. Or as a crossbow, like last time.

How will transmog work with racial bonuses? I know ranged weapons are the exception and can be swapped from one type to another.

Ah I missed it then. Thanks that makes me feel a little better at least.

Thats a good question actually, I havn't thought about that. I really don't know but it would be good to find out. Now if only I posted on the O-boards.

That one drop aside, I think they need to change the Dwarven Racial bonus to all ranged weapons anyway. I dislike Guns being in the game period, simply because if you have a gun... well why bother with a greatsword, ever.

I'd be happy enough if there were only crossbows, since I prefer a little less steampunk in my fantasy setting than the Blizzard guys do. But dwarves with longbows is just wrong.

Hmm. I hadn't looked into the possibility of crossbows for mogging purposes. Especially if autoshot goes away in MoP - the one thing I like about the sound of gunshots is that it's distinctive, and with the slow weapon speed compared to bows, I can get into the rhythm of normal SV rotation + autoshots from the sound alone if I have to.

I personally love being able to use guns. Thats mostly the whole reason I picked a dwarf when I started. I never looked at it as steam punkish or anything like that. I just see it as dwarves and gnomes doing what they do best, creating technology that goes BOOM.

I'm just dissapointed with Blizzards itemization decisions. They say they want racials to be a choice and not required, but at the same time they only put guns in as drops in 1/3rd of the content. And whats up with hunters being able to dual wield when they clearly make polearms and maybe a staff the only viable option anyway?

Forget guns, how about a 2 handed axe with agility (other than rock slicer).

To be fair, 1% crit isn't gamebreaking.

I'm a Feral Druid (Bear), but I picked Worgen (+1% crit) instead of Night Elf (+2% avoidance). Sometimes the looks matter more than whatever you can pull out of racials.

I think no matter what, it's still whatever weapon you have equipped... it's just the LOOK that changes... not the type. So say you have a gun equipped but change the look to a bow, a dwarf will still have it's gun racial. Now, if the dwarf has a bow equipped but changes the look to the gun, it won't give him the racial...

Make sense? (It at least makes sense in my head lol)

Oh I definatly agree, thats the entire reason I picked a dwarf. I just feel like if they are going to have the racial only cover a specific weapon type, they should at least make that weapon more available. Maybe it's just because I like the look of guns over bows regardless of the race.

Thats what I thought it would be like to. I believe according to the Transmogging rules I read (I havn't actually transmogged anything yet) that only a gun can be transmogged into a gun, same with bows and crossbows to.

Guns, bows, and crossbows are the exception to the rule on type. Relavent blue post.

forget guns. too noisy and the mages and warlocks already make too much of that. Gimme a big-***** bow at maximum range every time. Preferably from behind....

Some kind of elf, right? Especially considering the last sentence...

Maybe he just wants to get the flanking bonus to allow for sneak attack?

Only awesome if he shouts "Sneak attack, b*tch!" every time he does it.

Nah, its just this Genghis Khan attitude of mine. When I hit an enemy encampment it just bugs the heck out of me to leave survivors. They're gonna croak anyway, why be fussy about the angle from which you shoot them?

When I'm running randoms with pick up groups, my only peeve (other than incompetent tanks who think 'pull' means 'run to the center of the room and scream really loud') is this laser-line-to-the-finish they all run. Every time we bypass a big group of targets, I wonder what sort of cash and goodies we might be passing on.

A guard could get nervous, a man approaching him with his weapon drawn.
