I've had some friends persuade me to give WoW a re-sub and after looking at some of the changes coming up in MoP for Rogues I'm genuinely excited to be starting again.
In the mean time though I plan on rolling out a druid to help some buddies out who have been playing a while but are still relatively new (at least in comparison to a 2005 player). This is a bit of a newb question considering the hours I've sunk into the game already but from everything I seem to be reading, Druids keep getting the "Jack of all - trades" brand. Before I left last though, their endgame balance had them as seemingly equally efficient healers and tanks, in both PvP and PvE.
Does the Jack-of-all trades brand still really apply to endgame balance or is that just something noticeable during leveling? I was tempted to use the free boost to lvl 80 you get with a re-sub these days to skip out the grind but I know how important that is to learning the ins & outs of your class, especially one as seemingly complex as the mage/tank/healer hybrid with all the different shape-shifting that comes as part of the Druid.
As a fairly competent player with a lvl 80 warrior / rogue / priest would it be worth taking the lvl 80 jump or just enjoying the 1-80 grind with a group of friends who have all started from fresh?
Cheers for any words of advice,
~Flub
