I play with friends and family, and we will pick up one or two to fill slots.

We always have a good time.

You don't have looking for group up there. I spend probably 3/4 of my time in game looking for a group. It's a sad thing, but I wind up reading more books while lfg than I do actually playing the game

Can't decide if I'm soloing for tradeskills or doing tradeskills since I'm soloing.

Couple of friends got me into this for support and now there's only one left in the game with conflicting schedules...

I agree with 2-3 choices, but since its not the case i chose friend/guild groups although i socilize all the while and work on my trade skills :)

Exactly. My sister gave me the game for Christmas almost 2 years ago. Both she and my mom played, and my aunts and brother. Now? They either stopped playing PC games altogether or have gone on to other ones, leaving me to play EQ by myself. I do like to solo, though. When they played it was more for fun conversation sake for me, because all their characters were too high to group w/ me or they liked to solo too.
For me, it's about the comradery (sp?) of conversation and helping others out more than anything. So I joined a great guild that has since been disbanded because too many players wanted to use it to power level their alts or something and get them outfitted w/ donated items from the guild bank, even though their main characters belonged to another guild.
It isn't much fun to play if there aren't people to chat w/. And I also agree that the mid level characters (low level in my case, I guess)(my highest is only 21 because I liked questing and tradeskilling and playing most of my 8 characters in turn) have a harder time finding people to group w/ because so many are so uber now.
I do really like the game, but wish it was a more social one instead of power leveling to the 60's so you can raid - or so I hear that is what you do at that level. I personally have no idea. :)
I hope you all find what you're looking for in a short time.

I spend most of my time solo. This is not by choice. I am constantly sending up OOCs for my 55 Ranger, who is usually fully buffed with Virtue, Fo7, ext KEI and a haste buff. It seems that these days, there is almost no one interested in grouping. I don’t know why. I waste a tremendous amount of time just looking for groups, so these days I’ve kind stopped.

I am working on all of the languages; I’ve got about 8 done and started 5 others. I’m constantly questing for items I need, like 3 more drops to complete my 6th Shawl Quest. I’m about ½ way done my 1.0 Epic. I’m always trying to find peeps to do adventures (I want the Figurine Charm). And of course I’m addicted to trade-skilling, currently tailoring and smithing. I’d love to raise my tailoring 50pts to get it to 212 so that I can complete the 6th shawl and also get my fleeting quiver done. I’m also farming plat to buy a 34% haste belt upgrade that I really need, only 9000pp to go.

I’m a casual player, so these things take time. It is extremely difficult these days to find people or guilds that are interested in players like me. It seems a lot of folks are only interested in an all-out no-holds-bared race to get to the next uber item or zone. These folks just don’t realize that it is the Process of Getting There, that is the fun. At least it is for me.

I just joined a guild, after being guild free for almost 16mths. I needed a break from the useless politics, although it is VERY fun to watch teenagers play politics. Maybe this new guild will be different. I’m going to give them a good try.

Look me up on Luclin.

It is sad SoE has completly eliminated sub 46. Personaly I think the game died with LDoN. After that xpansion came out the game just wasnt the same. Grps everywhere died with that xpansion & they have gotten worse with all the new ones. I like MM's with my main cause hes 70 & its a quick way to get some AA's. on a rare occasion Ill take a alt on one just cause a friend asked me to. Im currently lvln a 33 zerker 7 hes alot of fun but I wont take him on alot of MMso cause I like seeing the DPS that I deal as an actual zerker. So basically I end up summoning 160 axes at a time get all buffed up with uber temp & the like & go solo giants in GD. On occasion I got a friend who comes & we tear gem up. But grping sub 50? Thanks for Fn u another good thing SoE. good stuff 1 fups 50000.
& then ya get the people that are time flagged. "Time? Ok so what are you KT flagged?" or my fav "how far in Oowar progression are you?" "No where cause I dont even now where to start." "oh ok sorry we canot use you then." /finger
what was once uber is now just chumpish. hell I did a tipt yesterday & the only reason my pet ended up tanking is cause I SoSal's him & he killled almost too fast for the tank to get aggro cause he was 15k pally.
Theyve nerfed the game & the characters. Chanters almost dont even mezz anymore. hell my raid line doesnt even include mezz now cause I never ever use it. on a rare group ill get to mezz somthing cause someone notices that Im bored or somthing. Ill charm in WoS just to prove that I still can.
I can go on for hours but ill save you all the drama.
Hope we all find what we mare LF soon.

& yes socialising is one of the only reasons I log anymore.

why isnt lfg an option ?
#39 Oct 09 2005 at 11:53 AM Rating: Decent
As a lvl 70 Non-Uber Warrior....8200hp 1700AC unbuffed, I spend ALOT of my time LFG. Most the time all people ask me is how much HP/AC and when I answer I get a repsonse of NM. Now with DoDH out nobody wants a tank under 10khp unbuffed. It is hard to group with anyone other then my guild, and even then I am on alot for exp when not many of them are.

Can't wait till SOE brings up the Class Balancing issue again...they said that they were gonna make it so warriors could solo at the high end game!!! HAHAHAHA!!! ROFLMAO!!!!

Ok enough rant, but seriously they needed a lfg option there cause that is how I spend most of my time.

Should have been a choice for "LFG". Because anymore that is what I spend most of my time doing.

Should add a catagory of LFG lol.

If you want to group you defiently need to join a guild. Most of our guildies rarely group outside of the guild. Ever since I joined BoP, I've been grouped non-stop. For me finding time to solo or farm is the hard part. Also, don't be afraid to start a group, you might be surprised how quickly a group can fill up.

Same with me, Personal groups and have a friends chat channel.

All my friends are lvl 69-70's, so we haven't gotten problems getting groups. All on at the same time and if we die, no one really cares cause were all good friends.

Picked something else, being as I'm usually LFG.

wheres the LFG choise?
#51 Oct 10 2005 at 6:32 AM Rating: Decent
Normally I'm LFG, but I guess that's the life of a NEC who doesn't like soloing. I can hardly get groups with my 43ENC, sometimes, so I guess that says something. God, I see 60+ Clerics LFG now.
