It's not "uber only" game already? Guess I don't play enough, seems that way to me. Most times I look for a group (particularly on the LFG Tool) I find people looking for lvl 70s or at least like 65 and up.
I feel much like the poster up a few from here, I miss the old times. Yeah, all the /ooc's from people selling stuff in East Commons could get annoying. And even then I never seemed to be high enough level to do the things I wanted to do. But damn it was exciting and almost any zone you went to had a good number of people in it. I'd sure as heck start up a new character just to do some more killing in East Commons and West Commons and Oasis and North Ro south ro and all those great zones where you can find nobody anymore. oh and how can I forget Butcherblock, damn that was a great zone.
Now what do you get? A tutorial to take you through lvl 10, tradeskills that give the recipie to you and you don't lose your items for ******** up (ok, I am a bit happy about that, but don't you kind of miss the adventure of that?) A Find button to show you where people are. Seems they think we need the instant gratification, the here take my hand I'm taking you lvl 20 sit back and enjoy the ride. I felt such joy in even doing the most simple things back then because where I needed to go, what I needed to do was a bit unclear, I was adventuring, trial and error, will this be the right guy, will I get mauled my something so hidiously far above my level that I'll pee my pants in horror. Perhaps some of that is still there and I just am not high enough level to get to it, that is where this message started after all isn't it?
oh yeah, this is a forum about what I do most in game....guess I wait, wait to find something thrilling to do, waiting for a group that I can join to do, really, anything, waiting and hoping that one of my friends will log on, waiting till I think I've spent enough time waiting and I log off to go find something better to do
