I obviously don't know much about network security. That's not what my $2000 dollar weekly paycheck says. Anyway, I'm an idiot. I'll go now. Hey if EQ gets hacked in the month of July, look me up on these boards..research the Navy project S.H.A.D.O.W. and you will know who you are talking to.

Wow... guess someone hit a nerve. Educated people can disagree on the level of security on an internet game and still be civil. Less caffeine, more hugs. =)

Hacking the game, in my OPINION, plain sucks...

Although I still have characters on BNET, it is one of the main reasons why I simply don't play Diablo or any other BNET games, too many hacks, dupes et el...

If you want to hack, go somewhere where people don't care about the game. I joined EQ to play a game where cheats literally don't exist, making the game a lot more fun to play...

I call ********* Send me an e-mail from your .mil address, keeping in mind that I will be verifying the IP's and headers. If you are who you claim to be, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Why don't you just track my IP from my forum posts. It should lead to military installation overseas. I am currently on contract here. And no, I'm not sending an email from my .mil address and just give it away so easy. Why don't YOU tell me what my email address is.

I'm no good on the PC apart from creating websites (if you where talking to ME)....but I could help with a psychological profile...

good news is, eq is hard to hack bad news is anything that connects to the internet can or have been hacked in one way shape or form. If you think a internet access is totally access proof "you are greatly misinformed." Most people who claim to be hackers are wanna be's. The ones who just do it and dont claim it are the ones that are "hackers." Do hackers usually have a plan? yes, but each one has there own agenda.

If you play eq just play and don't worry about hackers, if there truly hacking eq, they may get caught if there not good, if they really good they will never be caught.

yes I am anon.

Apart from the general pointlessness of the ****-waving, anyone who has worked in IT for any length of time knows that what you are paid and by whom has absolutely nothing to do with your knowledge or ability but more to do with your presentation and - if necessary - their gullibility.

well for one hackin is now a federal offense! so why do it... it is inevitable that you will get caught, may not be right away but you will get caught... the largest guild on sullen zek has been disbanded by the gm's the other day because of one stupid hacker in the guild... which is nice cause that guild was a pain in everyones backside... they where gettin too strong anyway...

When Sony/Verant was around you could hack to make a level 60 character it was easy but you'd get caught so fast.
