I've been saving up my newbie questions to annoy all of you with them at once, instead of coming her every fifteen minutes with them. The answers may be obvious to the rest of you but I've done some looking and haven't come up with the answers to the ones I have left.

1 My toon is a druid (I know, good for me) and when I die, all the spells in her bar disappear and I have to sit there and replace them from the spellbook. Is there a way to make them stay that I haven't found yet? Yes, I have looked.

2 Where are the ACTIVE server boards so I can read about all the dirt going on with people I've never heard of? On a related note, why isn't there an Everquest site on Warcry.com? Also, why is the information on vault.com so sketchy? Sony not send them press releases often enough when the game started so they didn't bother? Or was there a great boycott by EQ players that caused both sites to become worthless?

3 Is there a site that lists all the items you can get at loot that also tells you where you call sell the items or what you can do with them? I've got a couple of orc scalps and the like that none of the merchants seem to want sitting in the bank.

4 Why oh why haven't the females playing the game demanded and gotten a curtsey emote?

Right-click on the spell-book icon at the bottom of your spell gem bar. This will give you the option "Save a Spell Set". Do this when you have your spells loaded Smiley: smile. Choose this and it will ask for a name which can be anything you like. I usually start off with "Standard 1" but end up with all sorts like "Travel" with all the levi and camo etc, "Buffset" with the range of buffs and so on.

Once you have saved you will find that when you right click the icon there is now an option to "Load Spell Set". Choosing this offers you a selection of the saved sets. It is very efficient.

Your Q2 I have no idea about. Maybe say which server you play on and someone will post the URL for that board. The rest of it passed me by as I've never heard of those places.

You are on one of the best. If you look up Orc Scalp you will see that it tells you it is used in several quests. Where items are saleable it also gives an idea of price but this varies wildly from server to server so only your local knowledge is relevant. Mostly when selling things you must first decide if it is "Vendor Junk" or worth selling on the bazaar. For example Spider Silk sells to vendors for a few silver but can sell for up to 10pp a piece in the bazaar. Rusty weapons on the other hand tend to be less in demand by players so you sell them to vendors (unless you are practising smithing).

Selling to vendors be aware of two things that affect the price they offer you:- Faction and Charisma.

If the vendor dislikes you enough he may refuse to buy from you at all. If you "con" the merchant (right-click or target and press C) then you will see if they are indifferent, amiable or whatever. The more they like you the better the price. Some vendors in neutral places like PoK seem happy with everyone.

Charisma will also affect the price offered and this is why so many people buy Opal Encrusted Steins to equip when selling to ensure a better price. Even in your own guild the spell vendors will knock something off if you have high charisma. In some places the difference can be significant.

Something I have indeed wondered myself but probably explained by the fact that most of the "females" in game are adolescent boys who would not know a "curtsey" if it bit them. Perhaps explained by curtsey being an Earth habit and on Norrath both sexes bow?

Cobra,
Good tip on the save spell set, had no Norathian idea you could do that. LoL

/em does a dainty little prepubescent male curtsy and falls on the floor after spraining an ankle, twisting a knee and farting with the effort to twist 44 year old bones in an unnatural way.

Because we can't play serving classes?

Cobra gave good advice; the only thing I would add is to right click on items and see if they're flagged for tradeskills. If they are, you might want to save them and sell them in the bazaar, always assuming they're droppable.

Those orc scalps, for example, can be turned in to a couple of different non-player characters to improve various factions (your standing in a given community of NPCs).

Thanks for the help! I can't believe I missed the item search on this site. Trying to take in too much information, I guess.

As to why I want to curtsey, it's appropriate when meeting someone or thanking them. They have a bow emote, why not a curtsey?

Oh and Lance or Khara, if you're still playing, roll your eyes, yes this is me. I'm playing on Brell whateveritis, as I think that's the server Silars or someone told me you were playing on.
