Petition to repair GuildwarFollow

#1 Jan 08 2004 at 5:14 PM Rating: Default
In a game that for some has become less of the thrill it once was, and more of a comfortable format for persistence, disputes will inevitably arise. Some of these are a product of frustration, and emotions without an outlet, while others may be a form of role playing between classes and groups.

The idea of the role play has slowly left the game over the last 5 years, and as class distinction dissipates, so does some of the fun of acting.

With the power struggles between guilds at various stages in the game these days, the idea of using the Guild war function has become appealing occasionally. I have heard others voice this same opinion recently.

The point of this thread (ya there is one) is I want to know how many people would enjoy having this function of the game repaired, and implemented today. If enough are interested in the several message forums I am posting this, then I'll send a formal listing of petition to VI, and we can petition the game's makers until they give in and listen 8)

It’s our game (for a while still), if this sounds like fun, speak up and say so.

This could be a very interesting addition to the game. However, I would have to see how it would be implemented to know if its a feature I would want added.

How did this function work when it was working? Was it ever working?

The only points of reference to it I have are a couple people saying it would be cool if our guild had a guildwar with some other guild - but it was clearly just for fun and not any kind of conflict resolution measure.

It's broke? ...?

Thought the guild leaders put in the special command (which i can't remember here at work) and voila.

Although i thought i had heard something about having to petition now to get it approved or some stupid thing like that.

*shrug*

Don't see any reason why it should be broken.
