I also recently downloaded the collector, it seems to work fine. So maybe I can help. I did a few things that may not be obvious to all. After downloading and fixing all the settings to what the "read me" file suggested, I closed the program and restarted the computer, which I agree isn't always necessary, but old habits die hard. Before starting EQ next time I started the item collector first, checked that the settings were what I had chosen as per the "read me", then minimized it and went to Norath. After checking the website a couple of times to see if my info was uploaded, and not finding it... I re-read the "read me" file. You have to zone at least once and then the charactor comes up under profiles. At this time it is possible to upload the profile. Viola!!
