Please Help with Maps QuestionFollow

Hi,

I am kinda new to this gaming stuff, In fact eq is the only game I have ever played so please help me.

How do I download maps, and make them work in game, or do I have to download them and keep windowing out to see them ?
I really dont understand this mapping thing in game at all.
