No I mean Seriously!

I had my Woven Shim Choker (41% haste from xanamech) vanish from my neck between logging in on 1/28 then returning on 1/30. I petitioned and such with the details, and proceeded to wait and wait and wait. By 2/1 I thought for sure I was just out of luck when a GM sent me a tell just as I was setting up in trader. Lo and behold they had researched the loss and found that I had dropped it in the bazaar on 1/28 and nobody picked it up.

I had to ponder this a bit as I can't imagine doing that. Then I recalled that I left myself in the bazaar when I went to work that day and when i got home EQ was logged out and I was in Shadowhaven when I logged back in. It turned out that my 4 yr old son had somehow managed to drop my single best item on the ground :eek !

Well the GM returned the Shim and even the augment that as on it. I am shocked and very pleasantly surprised.

Morale of the story- turn on the option to make sure you cannot drop anything or lock your computer room when at work 8)

If your running windows 2K or XP, you can hit ctrl+alt+del and choose to lock your computer to prevent tampering while you are gone. All of your programs stay running this way, including EQ :D

Nice story, - beware the vengeful four year old - there is nothing worse huh accident, don't you believe it!.


(btw - no-drop means no-trade rather than no-drop really - I assume Jarlo had her confirm drop option OFF rather than ON, either that or the vengeful one confirmed it anyway)
