Grandmaster symbols????Follow

#1 Jul 04 2005 at 2:09 PM Rating: Decent
Hey, been playing EQ off and on for last 5 years. I have been on a pretty long downtime and am just now getting back into the game. I keep seeing all these "Grandmaster Symbol" augmens in the Bazaar and am curious how the heck to use them. They all seem to go in an aug slot 11, and not one piece of armor on any of my toons has a type 11 slot. I have used the augs out of DSP all the time, but dont know where to begin looking for armor with aug 11 slots on it. Any help out there is much appreciated.

I believe the DON cultural armor has slot 11. I know the dwarf stuff does anyway.

They are for the new cultural armors introduced with Dragons of Norrath (DoN) expansion.

Every race now has a cultural forge and new cultural sewing kits. The DoN armor is either smithed or tailored and has 3 augment slots:7, 11 & 12. The DoN augments go into slot 11 and you very much want these augments to complete the armor.

DoN armors can ONLY be made for the visible (graphically) slots: Wrist, Head, Arms, Legs, Feet, Hands, and Chest.

There are 4 tiers of armor based on required/recommended levels and level of tradeskill mastery:
tier req/rec level
Journeyman's 15/20
Expert's 35/40
Master's 55/60
Grandmaster's 65/70

You can also construct (via normal trade-containers) the augments. Augments are tiered as well.

Check out the DoN Tradeskill Quests for your Race in your hometown quest list.
