HK for click itemsFollow

#1 Jul 11 2005 at 9:43 AM Rating: Decent
Hail there all =)

I was wondering if there is any command or way to create a hotkey that I can use a click item and show messages like we do with spells with "/cast <gem number>, /say Casting xxx".

I'm willing to create a HK that casts the slow in my SoV and say in group "Trying to slow >> %t".

Thank in advance =)

Most people (unless there is another slower in the group) do not care if you 'try' to cast a slow. It should be clear beforehand that you will be trying. Just make a HK to say Slow landed on << %T >>.

List of (HK) battle messages in order importance (imho hehe):

1. Puller/targeting message

2. OOM message from healer or CC.

3. Healer message(mainly to tell healee to stay in range)

4. Mezz/Charm/ or other CC message (Nasty add is parked and dotted etc.).

5. Other OOMs (Nice to know the wizard wont be nuking, or the ranger cannot snare etc.)

6. Debuff/Slow/DoT/Resists (Nasty Mob is resisting Slow!)

7. Assist/Other (Why must you tell me you are assisting the MT?)

I suppose you could have a level 0 message:

0. Bail! Evac! Save Yourselves! Run Away! SkEEEEEdaddle!

I agree with Dot, I hate hearing about an attempt to do something. I watch my slow land, when it does I tell them, if it doesn't I cast it again. I didn't even used to do that, but I started by popular request. Telling them it landed is more for the healer, the tank sure as heck knows if it did or didn't land.

And then keep it very simple like /g %T slowed. Then if you slow a mezzed mob (with a non awakening slow) you announce that so the group knows it's been done already.
