Halfling RogueFollow

There's no way to get around this: I am a newbie. Sorry.

I am having a heck of a time trying to find and kill, or even just find good old chomper for the ruby thing. I got the bag which was, of course, empty. I have gone off and explored and killed to my heart's content, but I guess I can't use a bank until I get old chomper.

The only thing that spawns in the lake is the bag and more killer fish.

There's nobody around in Rivervale to ask, I'm always alone and have no where to turn.

Like I said, I can't even use the bank, to store all the loot I'm getting while I try to figure out how to get Chomper.

(Also, how can I search this forum, I don't see a search field?)

Like I said, sorry to be so thick, but I am really stuck. (I even started another halfling rogue to see if I have skipped something, but she is at the bottom of the lake dead, dead, dead.

Tutorial????

I have read books on everquest, I have another character who is a level 8 ranger and thought I had a handle on this. Oops.

When I started this character I had a note to give to Deeppockets who took it and told me to go to Toila Snickerl (sp?) and tell her I was the new dishwasher. She sent me after the bag with the ruby, which I did. Now I have to go after Chomper. I believe that I need to complete this so that I can "train" in stuff. I'm a level three rogue but can't train in anything cause she keeps asking for the ruby. So I float around, up and down, in the lake, getting eaten regularily by the nasty big fish. But I am gett wrinkled from all the time in the water and haven't even SEEN Chomper in low these 5 days. What am I doing wrong??

I thought I knew what I was doing, but now I wonder if there is a bug or something. BTW, I am playing on a MAC, in case that makes any difference.

(I did figure out the bank stuff, so that's cool)

Thanks alot for helping. I like the idea of this character and have grown quite attached to it as we float around.

It's too bad there aren't others around to help on the spot. Is Everquest II more polulated? Can Mac people play? Gues I'll have to go look it up.
