check to ensure you have not lost your connection to the internet.

Random linkdeaths are not entirely uncommon in this game. Check with your ISP to make sure that your connection is up to snuff and you are not getting abnormal amounts of packet loss.

Also make sure you have nothing running in background, I have seen disconnects when other programs try accessing the internet such as Windows, Virus, and Spyware updates. EQ is very touchy when something else is accessing the net.

For the first time in several months I got the Disconnected. Plus there were several chats and complaints in ooc about it. Might just have been a flaky day.

maybe it has to do with the directX update. They said you have to have the new version of it now.

Could be a firewall issue also, if your running one. EQ/Sony uses remote computers to send packets.......You might want to check your virus protection too. Just a thought.

And don't forget to get the cable or phone line company involved. Especailly if weather seems to effect it. We are struggling with a cable problem that, when it rains, the cable is intermittant. So far they have replaced the entire cable from the box to the pole. Both companies can ping your modem and sometimes see where the break is. Make sure to pay attention to the weather and the disconnect timing.

With DSL we had a bad pole connection, 10 people on the line, and no one complained but us, thanks to EQ.
