Does the amount of experiance you get at any given level only dependent on the difference in levels between you and the mob you kill? I am thinking of the simple case of being solo and no zone exp modifers. For example, will a lvl 50 toon get the same exp from killing any 48 mob in that zone? Or tha same amount from any 52 in that zone?

As far as I know a level 50 will get the same exp from killing any level 45. But there are zone modifiers that also come into play and modifers can be a plus or negative. Also you have the Hotspot modifiers that also come into play so the formula would be somthing like (Mob exp x Zone modifer +/- x Hotspot modifer)= Exp.
