It's about the quest: Harvest of Venom (from Berrenzin)

First I had to collect 3 Giant Spider Eggs, then a Snake egg from Giant Rattlesnake and then loot a "Vial off Smoke" from a Willowisp

But I did loot 3 Spider eggs, and then the 3nd step, looting the vial...and now he doesn't want to clear the step with the Snake egg, when I loot an egg, an I can't give the egg to the NPC =(
What can I dO?

Are you sure it says "a snake egg" instead of just "an egg"?

If the names don't match exactly the quest won't work.
