I see my Everquest in 800x600 resolution. But that's because I have a seven year old monitor that only cost me $90 at the time.

I generally play in 1st person. Strangely, I played City of Heroes in 3rd person and it never bothered me but I just can't play EQ that way. I only flip through the views if I suspect something is biting me in the *** while already engaged with another mob.

I got that deal too, but play in 1024x768. Who'd'a thunk that a "refurbished" IBM C71 would last this long?

I probably spend my EQ time 50/50 between 1st person and 3rd person. I zoom out with the scrollwheel, and use the panning external camera all the time to get better angles and perspectives.

Well, it's only a 15" so I'd go blind trying to see it much smaller. Someday it'll break and I'll get a bigger one but it's nothing I care enough about now to justify the purchase.

I forgot, I also use 3rd person when crowd controlling on the bard. Got to be able to click the mezzed mobs to work them into the twist while I'm meleeing the current target.

at 1600x1200 I use 1st person most of the time and 3rd person during melee to help with quick positioning

At 1280x1024 on a 21" monitor, I use 1st person mostly so my view doesn't get blocked by my own toon.
I do occasionally switch, however, to check behind me or for the "action" screenshot.

I use 3rd person, completely scrolled back, almost exclusively. It helps me keep track of where the mobs are and where my groupmates are, as well as making it easier to judge distances in relation to my self. (It also makes it easier to see if an add has broken loose, or who's getting beat on at a glance.)

If there are a lot of bodies, or if lag is high, I'll occasionally switch to 1st person, as it seems to help with both targeting and lag.

Normally, I'm using 1600 x 1200 on my main. But occasionally I'll bump it down a notch if I've got eye strain.

I used to have problems targeting the mob instead of my own toon, but very quickly I learned how to look "past" mobs instead of "at" them, so as to avoid that problem.

LDoNs end up making me use 1st person more than I'd like, because of the enclosed environments.

I play in 3rd person most of the time so I can see everything around me. It's also easier to move when you know where everything is in relation to you. I use 1st person in some situations though.

I play at 1024X768 in 1st person almost exclusively. I tried to learn 3rd person for AE kiting on the bard, but I could never get it right. I ended up learning to do it almost blindly (in relation to the mobs) and adjusting my circles according to the song spam I got. I will still occasionally try 3rd person when doing CC with the bard, but I usually just sit in 1st and adjust my position to get the first my second target for mezzes and then just use "toggle targets" to keep it mezzed while I melee the other mob in 1st person. If I have to keep more then one mob mezzed, I just stand back and do it that way.
