Made my first visit to ToFS last night, with my 35 Pally and 33 Enchanter as a duo. By the time I got in there, it was pretty late, so didn't have much time to look around. But I did manage to fall into the pit in the main room of the first floor while chasing a mob that slipped away from me. Things got ugly in a hurry. Was in panic mode, so I could never really see a way out of the pit....had about 8 mobs beating on me. Is there a sloped path up out of there, or a secret door or something? I'll probably just summon my corpses back to the guild hall tonight rather than ******** around with trying to recover them the hard way....but figure I should know how to get out if I fall in again.

I get the gist of the place (find keys to advance to next levels)...but any tips anyone might have regarding their experiences there, I would love to hear.

regarding the pit, there are ledges that i recall having to jump from ledge to ledge, to get out.

a little more info, I seem to remember having to exit the pit facing where you entered the tower.

Levi works in TOFS when pulling first level its best of have one with all the Ice. Be careful when zoneing/porting to higher levels mobs will follow or used to and things get ugly real fast. Also on a Side note best to do a CC if there are others in the zone long long time ago we were summoned one at a time to Trasana and killed off seems like a group pissed her off and evaced out how we drew agro from level 4 is unknown.

If you're looking back towards the zone in room, the way to get out of the pit is at your 2:00 position. It can be tough getting out if you have all the skeles beating on you (as well as the specs, who you probably aggroed as well).

It can take a while to get the key to move to the next level. Luckily, only one person in the group has to have the key. A friend and I were keeping level 2 cleared for about an hour and a half once with his twinkie zerker and my twinkie monk (both level 38, we're evil twink-a-holics) and we only got 1 key to drop to the 3rd level that entire time.

Adds are the "debil" in there. Be very careful about what you pull and what may add.

If you turn and face the way you came (fell) in, there is a set of 'steps' or little ledges you can walk up on the right. If you are levitated, you will not slide on the slippery floor.

Thanks everyone.

One other thing I was wondering...regarding the keys...once one character has one...is that toon forever flagged to be able to move to the next level? Or is it like Befallen where the key is actually in your inventory, and you have to keep it?

Once you have a key and USE it, it goes on your soulbound keyring. If you have any doubts, /keys will tell you which keys you have. You do not need to keep it after that.

Also if you get a key from a floor, it works on ALL the lower floors as well. It might be advantageous if more than one person in your group has keys (ie don't have the same person collect ALL the keys).

Levitate is an absolute must when pulling on the first floor. Even with walk it is hard to keep from sliding into the pit.

Speaking of keys Trasina drops a master key that will take you to the mirror room on the 7th level. Not sure if it will grant access to all the other levels as I already had those keys.

Is that the same feeling that you would get the first time you fell down the Black Burrow hollow tree at level 6 :-) *Memory sigh*

Hah, I remember that. My group was chillin' at the zone one day, waiting for the last member, when the ranger (of course) got summoned and summarily executed.

"Hey, guys, Tserrina just killed me. You may want to leave."

Took a couple of hours to get a GM summon and rez for him.

someone stated that zoning to the next lvl will bring mobs with you. this mostly correct ;-)

you can zone to the floor with the wedding party and not bring any mobs with you

just a FYI

i absolutly loved this zone as a young cleric. the drops here used to be very nice, heh heh before all of the items they have around today. used to be able to make great pp on the wedding floor. the two rings that drop off the bride and groom used to sell very nice, as well as the sorseres bowl from the floor before. plus all of the velium on the wedding floor.

i purchased all of my cultrual armor because of that floor. was a soloing clerics dream.
