Hi i was wondering if my eq char got deleted...umm I haven payed a subscriptoin from about last september. If he didnt i have a lvl 65 mage will i be so obsolete in the newer eq i wouldnt be fun to play and mpossible to get a grp??

Yeah, he's probably gone by now if it's been since last september. You could always restart your subscription and check though. Even if he's not there and you're still interested in playing you could start over though.
there is a 99.9% chacne he's not gone.
As Czae said, it's likely he's still there. This isn't the first time they've offered to reinstate expired accounts with a short free period beforehand. Since the big server merges you may have to change your name though. If you log on and your character name has an "X" after it, that means someone on that server already has that name.
I have had an inactive account for over 2 years with no loss of characters. Due to recent server mergers you may have to locate them though.
