Seb key(missing components?)Follow

#1 Aug 15 2005 at 12:18 AM Rating: Decent
On August 14 took my druid and my friend to Trak to get the components for his Seb key. It was easy to track down hunter, but could not find forager. We killed 5 hunters and no forager on track. I was wondering if anyone had done this quest recently or encounter similar problem as we did.

I can verify that the Forager was around as of 2 weeks ago(August 3rd-ish) for an alt of mine.

Although the recent patch might have something to do with it being MIA knowing Sony.

I would give it another go, and if absolutely nothing again, petition / bug it.

Good luck.

Hunter and Forager are on different cycles so killing one won't spawn the other. However, both have a bunch of named placeholder mobs on their cycle as well. So perhaps a named was up on the Forager cycle and, since you didn't kill said named, Forager never spawned.

From a guide on camping the ikky mask in TT that I wrote on Harbinger Droniks bestiary entry:

Quote:
Thought I would post a small guide on how to get your Iksar Hide mask. It's meant primarily for bards, but hopefully others will find it helpful also. First, check out my map. It's an EQAtlas map that I have drawn on a little to help me explain things. I'm not a graphic artist though, so excuse the kindergarten drawing skills. Now, on to the guide:

The foragers typically spawn from two positions, roughly marked with my A and B on the map. The corresponding colored lines are their estimated pathing routes. The "Valley" that I have marked on the map is where I tend to kill them, as A. it's close to part of forager A's pathing, and B. it's relatively safe. Other then the ruins with spectrals, mobs very rarely go there...

Also, if the foragers stop popping and there's no named up, head to the SE part of the zone and look for a forager. After you kill that one, they should start popping normally again. Just be careful down there, as there are a few higher level mobs there that will cast on you and ruin your day if you're not careful.

Kinda long, but it answers your question.

Jig is right, if no hunter/forager near the EJ or SoNH areas, take a look near Sebilis itself.
Trakanon's Teeth is one of those zones that 200 tracking will not cover completely so a bit of travel is in order.

The key mobs and PHs will wander all over the zone if left to their own devices. There can also be multiple mobs from each cycle up at once (meaning I've seen several foragers/hunters on track at the same time).

The mob listings for hunter/forager have full placeholder lists, so you may need to hunt down and kill a few of the PHs to get the key mobs to start popping.

Had taken my Ranger for key the first time over a month ago and the Hunter was so easy to find and waited and waited and nothing about Forager on tracking so left.

Saturday before last, took her over again and there was more than one Forager up and took only minutes to get the second component.
