Ok, how many tasks do you have to do from the wayfarer's camp in Lavastorm before you can actually get a DoN mission from the camp?
If you go on a DoN mission that someone else got do you gain faction with the mission npc's?

I could get missions from the beginning just not all the missions... Some of the missions are dependant on tier (creator is tier 2) and some on faction (Rivals is warmly? and above)...
As long as you get the Norrath keepers token (tear shaped reward) from finishing the mission you can turn it in and get faction. It takes a lot of missions to improve faction, but can be done...

Having downloaded DoN recently (but not done any tasks or missions yet), I have a rather silly question:
Which rewards do you get for completed tasks and/or missions? Do you get crystals only as a reward for completed missions or also for tasks? Do you get money, too?

Most missions you get crystals and a token. The token is turned in for faction and the crystals are used to buy DoN gear. There are a lot of trash drops throughout the missions that are sold for coin, but you don't get any as a reward. I think my split is on average 150-250pp per run (normally 1k-1.4k per group). You can also sell the crystals in the bazaar, on torv they go for about 140pp per crystal. So one cratore run with all level 68=70's will yeild 40 crystals or about 5-6k in the bazaar.
There is also zone wide random loot drops, but on average I think I have seen one per 40 runs (very rare)...

In order to repair faction you have to turn in the token you recieve to the mercenaries located just east of the entrance to solB. I believe the mercenary to improve good faction is the female, Bitral. I had to do 3 good missions and turn in the token to the mercenary in order to be able to receive missions once more.
As far as the actual progression once you start and complete the tier 1 tasks I'm not sure if you can continue doing good and evil missions.

It varies by class and race, as well as to which side you choose to go with. My Vah Shir bard could immediately get missions from the good side without doing any wayfarer's tasks. He was NOT KoS to the evil side either. My Erudite Necro was immediately KoS to the good side, but couldn't get the missions right away from the evil side.
As someone else stated, as long as you turn in the crystal at the end of the mission, you'll get a faction boost. That's why you can go on evil missions if you're good without taking a faction hit, you just don't turn in the evil crystal.

You can still do evil missions, just can't turn in tokens.
Couple of notes on things I have learned so far about DoNs:
* My Erudite Wizzy could get the Good Creator mission after about 10 token turn ins.
* Choose good or evil and only turn the tokens in of that side, not both.
* Make sure you are aware of some of the good trade skill drops in DoNs that should be rolled for. They include Glossy Drake Hides and Metallic Drake Scales. Both go for 10-15kpp each on the Bristlebane server.

The first group of tasks is pretty easy (the hardest part is a one group mission). You get over an AA in exp by doing the collect stuff, and 3 AA points and +10 to all stats and stat caps for completing it.
