Spoilers

Some of the clues need explaining to me...

For the ones I found (granted easy enough to get these)

A Jury is usually 12. Half a jury is 6. 6 is the number of The Tribunal in PoJ.

In a giant city, the only one not really there

Giant City: Kael, Armor of Zek is just an animate suit of armor (no one there).

Boozing in the heat. Sol A fire-goblin bartender.

I like clue #17. Life-sized chess piece. Bishops in chess are confined to one color. The term 'shade' has dual meaning for EQers, so it is a good word to throw you off track.

I though 'a spectral footman' in Traks Tears would be a sole undead, but nope...

Not sure why double a hill giant is an ice giant. True it 'looks' bigger. I would think double a hill is a mountain...

Don't know why the AC retrospectively sits between two oddities either.

Note to Hoppie:

It is funny. I looked at Beast #10,000, realized it was a dragon in ToV, and went to look at all the other dragons, not the "top of the list" first mob. Nice catch on that one. I missed by an over-focused brain.

Full explanations behind the clues will come once they are all uncovered and the puzzle is solved.

Nnanji, I wasn't gonna mention it before, but now that you have given credit to the wrong person I feel like should point it out. ;-P You posted on the 26th listing #22 as unsolved. It wasn't, it was solved on the 25th by Valecia (See the ninth post). You edited your post giving credit to finding the answer to Hoppie who was using your list as the ones that still needed solving and posted after you.
#32 Aug 26 2005 at 5:50 PM Rating: Decent
Yea, I noticed that 22 was solved after I posted it. Oh well, at lest I know that I could have solved it.

SPOILER - is it a spoiler this far down?

It's like the '10,000' clue.
HG = 330, and IG = 660.

'Next!' and 'one more than 200' are making me spin.

If you click on the links provided by the others, you can see the colored ball that has a letter and number (either black or yellow text) which gives us the letter for that clue. Your link was a good possibility but without the colored ball and a letter, it falls into the 'not correct' category. Please keep checking any ideas you may have !!

Thanks

29 others HAVE BEEN figured out, just 3 remain.

I am with the previous post, 28. Next! is probably the next mob after 27 in the 'bestiary'.

I am going to go ahead and post a spoiler about the phrase itself.

******* SPOILERS ********
******* SPOILERS ********
******* SPOILERS ********
******* SPOILERS ********

This may be more than people want to see, or figure out by following all the clues. It is a summary of the information gathered so far from the solved clues.

******* SPOILERS ********
******* SPOILERS ********
******* SPOILERS ********
******* SPOILERS ********

The rules tell us this:
-Spaces and punctuation are in the order which they belong (i.e. if the fifth clue leads you to a space, there is a space in the fifth spot of the scramble; likewise for punctuation).

So we have the following information, structurally, where (Blank) means we do not have the letter/punctuation/space info:

PVSIE (SPACE) M (SPACE) EERL (SPACE) HOMT (SPACE) OGPEAS,(SPACE)(Blank)(Blank)PCAI?

Another way of looking at it, in order to see where the "words" are, is this, where the numbers indicate known and unknown letters:

(5) (1) (4) (4) (6), (6)?

We have S, M, P C & I as first letters, so at least 1 more First letter needs to be found.

The Phrase seems to be in a question format. We know the first word is 5 letters, then a space, and the second word is 1 letter, so it very likely to be an A or I, as these are the only letters in English which form a single letter word. Given that we know one of the first letters is an I, then the second word is very likely to be that letter. It is only if the missing First Letter is A that this is not necessarily true.

Letters in the scramble:
AAEEEEGHILMOOPPRSTV,? & (x) [ (x) = unknown letter]

Letter to Start Words:
CIMPS (X) [(X) = Unknown First Letter]

Structurally we have this:

x x x x x _ I _ x x x x _ x x x x _ x x x x x x , _ x x x x x x ?

The phrase is a question, and assuming the second word is the letter I, it is a personalized question to whomever is asking it. I am confident now that the above is the format which is the solution for the following reason:

I can see it may look possible for the last 6 letters (the ones after the comma) to possible be in the format x _ x x x x ?, but this CANNOT be since there are 2 letters/clues unsolved, and one of them MUST be a missing First letter (we have 5 solved, need six total under the ",(6)?" format above) and the other would HAVE to be a space for the ",(1)(5)?" format, meaning we would be missing another First letter.

Please correct me if I have misrepresented known details.

Error correction for:

16. Spirit of an Arch Priest

This was incorrectly placed on this NPC, when it did not belong there. I am sincerely sorry for any head-banging this caused. Clues and scramble placements were my main concern; apparently enough of a distraction to hinder this Akhevan translation's accuracy.

I have the last two words, and possibly the whole phrase...

Last two words 'might' be: Copper, Please?

I have bandied about the rest to make the phrase:

'Might I Save Some Copper, Please?'

Doesn't make much sense though...

I also had started trying to work on the phrase itself and I had also guessed that because of the comma and the question mark at the end that the last word was probably PLEASE. One of the three letters missing is a Yellow first letter. If it is perchance an "A" the second word could be "I" or "a". Been trying to rearrange the letters using both, just in case.

Briatta - The Rathe

Also, just trying simple things... if the missing First letter is a W the first word might also be "WHERE". /shrug
