I don't think a druid would do well here but I pull around 1.5k an hour in Vendor sold loot, in Siren's Grotto killing Seahorses and Swordfish I also pull in 2 stacks of Deepwater ink an hour which I sell overnight in Bazaar at 25p ea. Plus the bonus loot off of named when he pops.

Also try quadding wyverns in Cobalt Scar. The arcitc wyvern hides sell for a couple hundred pp (YMMV) each.

You could hit the old rock hoppers in DSP if the flawless skins are holding up, but honestly, GO TO THE BAZAR. I grabbed a free 21 day account, started with nothing. 30p from tutorial, looted some green goblin heads in BBM, sold a stack of spiderling silk, and had 200p. Now check the /barter folk. Youll find items you can buy in /baz and sell to the barter buyers. Run and run and you will build up more and more.

On a free account starting with nothing, no guild, no connections, I made 15k in the 21 period. My case rests. I did NOT stand as a trader at any time.

There are a few more tricks I'll leave to your own research... buying items with good (300p plus) vendor prices that folk price down below that. The more you know, the more you can make. What spells sell to vendors for nice plat? Some are 1p, (say in the lvl 50-60 range) some are 30p, some are 140p. If you know whats what folk don't always price them above vendor price, or check without high charisma. Get a couple of opal steins of course.

When I played a druid many years ago I used to do the forager cycle out in Trakanon's Teeth. By killing the forager over and over you have a chance to spawn a named and the named usually drop some loot.

The big prize is the Ceremonial Iksar Chestplate which is dropped by Crusader Zoglic. Depending on your server it usually sells for 5k-12k.

Another nice drop that sells for a few pp is the Iksar Hide Mask which is dropped by Harbinger Dronik.

There are a lot of writeups on how to do the forager cycle but if you have any questions, just let me know.

Just curious, how do you deal with the mobs that summon in Sirens Grove? Solo, I cannot get past the Bulthor at the entrance. (Level 61 druid by the way) Best way is to get a tank to help you there.

Have you tried charming some of the animals in there? I'm not really familiar with druid charming, but with my chanter it's the only way I've been able to solo there effectively (also at 61st level).

I always went to CS when I played and quadded the wyverns there. The wyvern hides always sell well, plus they tend to drop gems. Not sure if the vendor price for gems dropped but a year ago I was getting 45pp per and then 200pp per hide in the bazaar

hehe. No, Im not coming back to EQ full time. I still have my account though, and I pop on occasionally to say hello to my friends and mess around. But I still lurk here once in awhile and share any knowledge I may have picked up along my gaming time.

if and when they change a few things I just might. But Im really getting tired of having only 3 hairstyles for my half elf that make her look a little too masculine for my taste. The half elves totally got jipped in graphics IMO Smiley: laugh

The only mobs I have run into that summon are the named. I am mainly camping the CS entrance, for Deepwater Ink for my shaman's Alchemy Elixir of Clarity IX. I make those for around 5p ea (+12 mana regen) couple stacks of those, my mage is no longer dependent on Kei, 5-7.5 hours a stack for around 50p.

Invis will get you past the Bulthor, Swordfish and Seahorses can not attack if you are out of the water. There is a safe spot to surface and get out in the corner oppsite the Walrus/Manatee. I would think snare Dot, Dot, get out heal med and repeat would work on all but named. Again I play a mage there and no real exp on a Druid or Ranger.
