There have been changes to certain models over time. Player races have had notable changes, with the release of Luclin. Many of the NPCs in Grobb had screenies submitted for them a LONG time ago, hence the change in appearance. They could go through and update the pictures I suppose, but I don't think it would be a high priority item for the admins.
As for the quest info... Grobb has gone through a lot of changes in the past couple of years. Ogres got kicked out and replaced with frogs. Now the ogres are back. Newbie armor is a relatively (in terms of the game as a whole) thing, and my understanding is that some of the newbie quests have changed due to the new tutorial (but I haven't tried the new tutorial yet, so I'm not certain). Basically, what I'm trying to say is things change a lot with this game and it's difficult, to say the least, for the admins to keep with all of the changes as soon as they happen. Also, since they're not all-knowing EQ Gods themselves, they rely on player submissions to let them know about changes like these often times. If noone sumbmits a change, they don't change the site. Since fewer people are starting EQ fresh and just as few bother with the newbie armor quests, it can be easy for things like to slip through the cracks. When you see inconsistencies like that, either PMing Danalog or following the link to the left that says "Submit Information..." can go far.
