Depths of Darkhollow ImpressionsFollow

I really think its amusing to hear all the "you high levels dont remember how tough it is to be level a low level. Fact is I do remember.

- to meditate I had to sit looking at the spell book. ( got killed more than once doing this)

- no one could port anywhere yet. No one was high enough so we ran.

- No PoK books or bazaar so we run once a week from Everfrost peeks (or where ever we were hunting at the time) to East Commons to buy and sell. Max level at the time was 50.

- Very few players had more than a few hundred plat.

- No one gave me anything for free.

- getting a group wasnt hard, getting a good one was.

- 6 hours of killing and being killed (no rezes yet) for 3 to 4 blue bubbles of XPs.

- Leather Armor untill my Shaman was level 20 and could get into Highpass to get Chainmail. Which we had to /random for

- Leather armor untill my tank friend was level 21 so we could kill goblins in Highpass for Bronze for him. /random again

- Black iron crown and black iron medallion were the hot things to have.

- go LD and loose everything in the summoned bag you had all the heavy stuff in, and most valuable.

- couldnt kill a willowisp untill we got magic weapons or they just owned us. (greater light stone was heaven sent for us barbarians)

- A twink was the level 2 warrior a made so I could use a Minotaur battle ax.

- I could easily go on for many hours but i wont. It was fun traveling down memory lane for a few minutes.

So before you make a statement you might wanna make sure its a little more accurate. Yes most of us old timers do remember and we remember how easy you have it now. Try moving form Lesser fay to Rivervale with no ports or books, Run it and see how far your level 10 Ranger makes it. it can be alot of fun.

I crit for 17k on a regular basis and have done one crit over 20k so you can say I like this expansion ;)

Some of the missions are fun and some are tideous and the missions are one of the things I have found to be the biggest plus in this expansion. Finally some good group challanges and progress. Sure there was MPG trials in OoW and nice group stuff in DoN but in DoDh you wont do missions over and over while having an extremly boring time (creator anyone?) and there seems to be alot of mission lines with diffrent rewards.
As of today I know of 5 diffrent fun mission lines with good rewards:
- Dreadspire access
- lvl 68 spell
- lvl 69 spells
- lvl 70 spells
- the charm aug
Im sure there are quite alot more good mission that leads to a decent reward. I am abit upset with the loot from theese missions however. But I love the idea with several diffrent groupprogression lines! Finally something to do instead of sitting at a camp just grinding your self to boredom.

I too usually buy a hard copy off of the shelves of a local retailer. However since I live in an area that was just devistated by 2 hurricanes, I have yet to see any DoD games for sale in my area. Hope to get it soon, then I can add my 2cp.
