Friend of mine is wanting to play escape to norrath and see if he wants to get in game, etc. Anyways we downloaded the patcher and installed it. We then ran the patcher and it downloaded the files. He then signed up for a station account.
When he goes to log into the game it gives the message about needing a valid subscription and takes you to the account page by clicking a button. So how are you supposed to register this thing? The only thing we could find is where you can upgrade to regular everquest. Tried posting about it in the everquest forums but it just gave us a endless loop wanting us to login when we was logged in.

my understanding...
when you buy the actual disc's of DoD, it came with an extra disc. that is what you need for "new people"
you give the disc to as many people as you want. they use that disc to play on a "trial" server. if they like it. they then have to buy the real EQ. if i read it right, YOU can't play with them on this trial.
so trying to load eq and get to trial server with patcher prob don't work ;-)

You actaully have to go into the download page at http://escapetonorrath.com
Actually hit the "try if for free" bit and then download button and it will activate the account. You dont then have to download if you have already.
