Wondering if anyone does this...

I have way too much stuff in my bank(s). I say that cause I even have spare character's whose sole purpose is to store stuff my main may need at some time.

Now, I think I may make a point to dump stuff I come across on nearby merchants (if the NPC markup is not too high) for other people who may find more immediate uses for it.

Yes I do tribute good items and sell some things in the bazaar.

I just thought rather than selling stuff in the GH or destroying it, put it on a NPC (who has space for it) so other PCs can find it.

iirc

It was made so you couldn't give stuff to NPC's anymore. This would be an exploit to trade NODrop items. You could put a nice NODrop item on a low NPC and have someone kill it.

It sucks, but sometimes you just need to destroy some good stuff.

This happens to myself and other tradeskillers I know. I just put the extra gear on my bazaar mule and wait for it to sell.
I also merchant mine as much as possible before and after patches.
Thanks for selling items to an npc in a highly traveled area dot.

I have tried to turn in all stuff like that either for tribute, or stashed it in the guild bank, and hope that some guildie could use it. If not, stand in the PoK, or a lowbie zone for a few minutes calling out - free to whoever can use and gets here first.

Otherwise, it winds up getting sold to a vendor.

I agree, sometimes it stinks, but sometimes you gotta just trash some good stuff.

I didnt mean GIVE to NPCs, I meant SELL (for pittance) to NPC merchants from whom PCs could buy cheaply.

It took me six years to admit this to myself but if I can't use it, alt it, bazaar it or expect to see it gone from the guild bank, it doesn't qualify as "good stuff" any longer no matter how rare a drop it is or how swell it was five expansions ago.

And it still hurts...

Just to note, summoned pets will not equip NO DROP items. They will however equip more than one of the same item, even if it is LORE.

Don't think that is true. I give no drop ('scuse me NO TRADE) junk I can't equip to my summoned pets (druid, beastlord, enchanter, shadowknight) all the time. How can you tell if they 'equip' them or not?

Noooooo.. say it ain't soooooo. You made me T_T in real life!

At least you people have 7 mules. I am paying for a 4th account that has not left the Bazaar in 6 weeks just to have someone with room for the 8 trader bags.

You'll note they never equip No Drop weapons. For further testing, you can charm a mob with a base human model and note that it doesn't equip No Drop 'visible' equipment (such as breastplates) but will equip visible tradable stuff like Summoned Armor.

Giving gear to pets at the present time is a bad idea they get no benifit from it what so ever till the Pet bug is fixed. Also I have given Do Drop gear to my pet Summoned Cleric Hammer the pet took but did NOT equip it

What is the pet bug? I haven't heard of one. I know that giving summoned weapons to my warder still increase DPS with the procs...

Our guild is doing luclan shards for the VT key, my first thought was omg where the hell am I going to put 10 shards, a container, etc. Since I am so slow it's not much of a worry.

My bank is almost full, my mule is almost full, my alts' banks are almost full, my bags on all my toons have too much stuff...

It was confirmed from Rasherr Lead Dev Pets are not getting stats or Hit points from gear they are given. The pet are equiping it and getting procs from weapons but thats it.

I thought this was gonna be another gripe about the AS guildbank. Smiley: laugh

As a poor cleric, I learned that nothing is useless. Though all the random junk I've had on my bazaar trader for the past three years at 5gp is beginning to put a strain on that notion...

As it is, my necro alone has 7 10-slot containers in the bank with nothing but research Words, most with multiple copies. My bazaar trader still has bags full of Velious armor gems and random PoSky quest items from my time back on Veeshan.

Wasn't here some talk a couple years back about a quest where you could turn in No Drop gear to your guild leader for exp??

yes

and i got burned cause i had already destroyed that type of gear.

it was gear from PoH, PoG, PoFear

you would turn it in and get gems and exp. so now i am holding gear from all the way back to ToV lol.

you can still goto those zones and loot ANY class armor and get exp and gems for it. Just turn it into the proper Guild master in PoK.

I used to hold on to anything I thought was worth something. But now I have gotten to where anything not worth more then a few hundred PP I genreally just sell it to a merchant or tribute it off. Bad thing is just about anythign you sell to a NPC merchant will be marked up about to the point nobody will want it. A few items are still cheap on a npc merchant. I know I have seen coterie armor for a couple of plat on npc merchants. But some stuff, especially old world loot it seems, gets marked up to outrageous amounts.

Yesterday i turned in some nodrop/attunable items to the guild tribute master in guild hall.

I don't know if she takes just plain no drop items but she gave me guild tribute for the attunable things that I had already attuned to my character.

I have heard rumors of an npc in Nobles causeway who will change nodrop/attunables back to attunable. I haven't tried it out for fear that it is an exploit. With my luck I would come back to a suspeneded account.

yeah I was given a belt that at one time was very uber I understand. it is reqimended lv 50 Clr only. A Expert's Moonglade Belt with out aug has easly twice to three times the stats. It has like +1 on every stat and +3 on mana and HP when you hit 50 all stats go to 3 and mana and HP go to 15 But when I put it on My Clr alt everyone one that looks at my stuff wants me to link it. I always replied when you buy it you can see it lol

Not sure what you are trying to say there.

There is no such thing as an Expert's Moonglade Belt. In any event Belts do not show graphically.

Perhaps you meant another slot? In any event once you have equipped an attunable item you CANNOT sell it.

Tribute Master's will NOT take the Attunable gear that is un-attuned. Are you saying they DO take used Attunable stuff? I will check this tonight.
