found this here (about naggy): http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=3283

just want to say this isn't my post, i copied it for you.

----------------------------------------------------------------

/smile ... hmmm ... so ya want the goods on Naggy? Well I hope I dont let ya down. Long post so go get a cup of coffee.

First off lets talk about Naggy then we'll get to killing him. Understanding Naggy is the first step to killing him. He has AE debuff, AE nuke, AE fear, and max hits for a max of 225. He is NOT tethered to his room, and runs at aprox 16 percent (depending on your tanks HPs and when the CH hits). When he runs he drifts down to the bridge and back to his lair. He is lvl caped at 52... meaning that anyone over lvl 52 that gets agro from him will be banished to Lavastorm at the LS/SolB zone line.

So he AE fears, this is MR (magic resist)related, if your MR is over 180 you will prob not be feared much but I recomend getting your MR over 200+ (when you are feared you cannot be healed, usualy wander out of range and you drop to the bottom of agro list). ONLY MT (main tank)NEEDS HIGH MR!

Naggy has a AE nuke that hits for a max of 500 DD, this is FR (fire resist) based. Once again the higher FR you have the more you will resist this, at least 180 (I recomend over 200). Mine was at 250+ and I resisted most of them but I still got wacked occationaly for 500 pts. ONLY MT NEEDS HIGH FR!

AE Debuff, this is unresistable. You need to have at least 6 junk buffs up (for boxing) or just get a insta-click item. Since Naggy ALWAYS debuffs from first slot to last slot this is very easy to avoid being debuffed. ONLY MT NEEDS THIS ITEM!

Lets talk about the MT for a sec. He will need a minimum of 180 MR FR with insta-click item. The next most important thing is HPs, you can do my method of killing Naggy with a tank who has 3k (buffed)hps or higher, the more HPs the easier this will be for you. Here is a general guide for the amount of healers you will need per HPs: if you have a 7-8k HP tank (like mine) you only need one healer (cleric), 6-7k tank = 2 healers (cleric/druid works best), 4-6k tank = 3 healers (2clerics/druid), 3-4k tank = 4 healers (2 clerics/druid/sham). As long as the other stuff I mentioned is ok this is a general rule of thumb you might need to adjust this to your liking/sucess /wink.

Getting to Naggy, what a pain in the freaking *** this is. There is many short cuts you can take here if ya do him enough youll learn some (hint dont bother clearing Kings room). Any combination above can clear up to Naggys room but I dont like to take that long so I use a 67 BST and my 69 cleric and still takes me 20 min to clear to prep room (room right before Naggys lair). Note: all giants are on a 4-6hour timer so you dont have to worry about repops. Now the tricky part, you got 3 giants in Naggys lair that need to be pulled out (unless your super uber you can tank Naggy and 3 giants ... /cough I did). OMG I cant beleive im sharring my secrets, the easiest way to pull them out is using a 53+ toon that can gate. I use my cleric (ill explain later about how to use 52+ toons) to pull lair. Now this takes patients and practice so dont get frustrated failing your first 20 tries /grin. Have your 53+ puller go up the steps along the right wall up to the point that when you open the door you can see Naggys head bobbing up and down. Now watch his head for a bit ... as soon as it bobs down, and just before it bobs back up run strait at the giant on the left side of the door (left as your facing Naggy), hit attack and without slowing down turn around and run your *** back to prep room. If you suceed you will get that giant comming after you along with the other two (sometimes Magus and the other giant get left behind) either way you at least got one giant out of the way. If all 3 came out your golden and its time to kill Naggy ... if not you'll have to move to plan B (which sucks).

OK if you didnt get all the giants out of lair here is some alternate methods to get them out.

1) Use a high lvl caster with a pet (I use a 67 BST)... have him walk up the steps (but dont go farther then where you can see Naggy bobbing his head or ya get banished and have to run back up)wait until you see Magus path, all ya need is to target him. Once you have him targeted, move back down steps and send in pet to agro Magus ... at the stame time you have to run your *** off clear back to corner that turns down to the bridge (as far away from Naggy as possible). If you do this right you will not get banished and your pet will be eating the giant ... when the giants hps drop below 100 percent call your pet back to you until the giant comes out of the room. Once the giant is out of the room kill him and do the the same to the all remaining giants. If for some reason you cant seem to get them pulled this way /sigh (its happened to me)...

2) Take a 52 (or lower) toon and run into room get agro (dont engage just let them see you) and run down the first flight of stairs (keep all your 52 and lower toons way way back) as soon as puller dies pull giants with 52+ toons (that way if they get naggy agro they just get banished not killing everyone). NOTE: always have cleric/healers bind down by the bridge and never train mobs past prep room. If for whatever reason this is not working for you ... have the puller pull giants all the way back to the corner just before you drop down to the bridge and die there(make sure everyone else is on the other side of bridge to avoid unwanted agro), what your trying to do is get enough distance between giants and Naggy that you can safely pull giants without Naggy agroing (pain in the *** isnt it). If this dont work for ya ....

3) If ya have a Druid with ya have him bind at the bridge along with your 52 or lower cleric. Position your Druid in a spot in prep room for evac. Have the cleric run into room and get agro spam "EVAC" and run to the druid (10 sec cast time so spam and cast evac asap). After you have evaced gate back up to bridge and engage giants if not guarded by Naggy. Now if this dont work for you ....

4) Pay a lvl 52 or lower monk/sk to come up and pull the stupid giants out of Naggys lair (and now ya know why I decided to try to kill all of them at the same time ... I got tired of trying to split them up and was too lazy to run my monk over there).

/WHOOT finally you got the lair cleared and are ready for Naggy ... the easy part. First off if you already killed Vox using my suggested method and it worked for you ... know one thing ... Naggy chews his food much much faster, but he dies faster also.

Buffing: Get your insta-click up in your first buff slot. On Naggy, unlike Vox, you do NOT need junk buffs, he will always debuff your fist buff slot in order. So unless your buffs run out because they just ran out of time you will be fully buffed at the end of this battle. Note: always makes life easier if you macro key your insta-click with your kick, taunt, etc. Buff up anything and everything you can ... MR FR HPs are the most important. Make sure you have a DS (damage shield) potion, you will cast this right before you pull Naggy (DS potions stack with all other Player casted DSs). If you have a druid have him hit you with DS, REGEN, SEASONS, MR, etc. DS is very important in this battle ... it takes twice as long to kill him with out it and your healers will go oom, if you dont have DS available ... find and add a cleric for the extra healing your going to need. Healers you will want KEI as a minimum ... preferable VoQ, Po9, SD, or better buffs.

SET UP BATTLE: Naggy will be pulled to door, so healers you want to BIND just around the corner away from the door. There is a little corner nook that is around the corner from Naggys door along the wall bind there. This is your "healing corner", dont leave this corner ... ever durring the fight. Naggys AEs cant reach this spot so you will not get feared, nuked, or agroed if you stay there (also the reason only tank needs buffs and resist gear etc). Clerics you will CH (complete heal), Druids recast DS, back up heals. If you have other mele wanting to get in on the action ... tell them to do what ever makes them happy ... tell them they wont get any heals durring fight. They cant hurt anything but if ya ***** around and try to heal them they will just drain your mana and end up wiping your raid. Almost easier to just have them sit around until Naggy hits 40 percent, then have them charge /giggle (that way they feel like they helped).

Tank drinks DS potion and pulls Naggy to the door (dont have levi on its real anoying on this fight, and it helps on the pull if you back all the way down the steps until Naggy gets stuck at the door because he will AE nuke ya from clear inside his room and he gets stuck on his little bridge in there). Once he is at the door, tank attacks him. The door keeps dropping down its a pain in the *** just keep opening it. If Naggy gets pushed too far inside wait until you CH hits then open the door and back up. He will summon you to him all ya have to do is back up again and he will follow you back to the door. You usually have to do this 3-4 times to keep him at the door (I never risked fighting him inside his room, I dont know how far is too far to land heals). You can pull him down the steps some but if you accidently pull him too far he will start AEing your healers ... NOT good.

Cleric use your CHes wisely dont waste mana but watch your tanks HPs. A 8k tank needs heals at 20 percent, a 6-7k tank needs heals at 30-40 percent, 5k tank needs heals 40-50 percent, 3-4k tanks needs heals at 50-70 perent. Just take turns healing and call them out so everyone knows who droped the ball.

High lvl toons: I use a lvl 69 cleric and box my 52 war ... I just use self buffs and use all the tactics ive shared here. My 52 war has around 6500 HPs self buffed and Virt (7924 raid buffed). But here is how this works, my cleric heals my war at 20-30 percent ... he gets banished out ... he gates back in to bind point (healing corner)... heals. For me its a tight squeeze in timming, ive died to spell failure on casting gate, not getting back in time for next heal, etc. But for me its no biggy because I just click him back up buff and do it again. Sometimes its good to have your high lvl toons bind ... run into naggy room, get booted and gate back in to warm up your computer to the zone. This works for all High lvl toons buffers, healers etc. You CANNOT touch the dragon with nukes, slows, debuffs, anything directed toward Naggy if your over 52 ... that includes PETS. Ya the pet looks like its eating the dragon but its not doing sh*t to him and eventually durring the fight you will prob get banished because of pet. Its no biggy just another gate. But all spells directed at the tank will land first before you get banished, so rune, heal, buff, etc and just gate back in.

Set up for first try I would do this:

45-52 Tank (4k+ HPs) (180+ MR FR Insta-click)
2/50+ Clerics (one below 52) KEI+
49+ Druid DS, Buff, Nuke, Heal, Resists, Evac,

Min group:

52 Tank (6k+ HPs) (200+ MR FR Insta-click)
52+ Cleric VoQ+, Po9+, SD+ (FT 12)
49+ Druid DS, Buffs, Nukes, Heal, Resists, Evac

Well I hope this helps. Ive been doing this for about 4 years on ARo server. It was a fun challenge for me to figure out my own style. Ive had my headaches from this. Its only been this last year that ive been actually boxing them all by myself which was my goal. I have now quit playing EQ and thought I would pass along the info to you guys. Ive taught many peeps how to do this on my server but I know epic 2 are sought after and want everyone to know there is an easy way to get these dragons dead.

Sincerly and Good Luck,

Ribbid 52 WAR (7924hps, raid buffed)
Draguntalon 69 CLR (FT 16)
Kerbourchard 66 RNG (first toon baby boy)
Draguneyes 66 MNK
Puzycat 67 BST
Dummby 52 WAR (first War to Box or solo Vox and Naggy in game since lvl cap was put in place)

Misc: Amulet of Necopotence (insta-clicky from inventory), Ring of Dain Frostreaver IV (insta-clicky with DS ... pain in *** quest but fun), Woven Shim Choker (nice 41percent haste item that is fairly easy to get if ya got friends)

Suggestion: In order to get the PoP quest armor you are going to have to jump up to lvl 55 to do the quests ... while your at lvl 55 get your HP AAs done (I did 1-2 AAs per night), only takes a few weeks. I did this in my spare time when I wasnt raiding was a great little side adventure.

PS: if ya have questions, clarifications, misunderstandings, post here ill monitor these for a few weeks and try to fix any errors.

LADY VOX

Dummby/Ribbid
Of
Ayonae Ro

Lady Vox:
HPs: ……….……. 32,000
Melee: ……….…...Max 225
Special Effects: … Frosty Death (500 AE DD + Cancel Magic, Cold Based), AE Fear (Magic Based), AE Dispels (Not resistible, removes topmost buff), Heals (She can complete heal or use smaller heal spells).
Misc: …………… Vox is not tethered to her room, she can be moved anywhere in the zone.
Timmer: ...... Vox is on a 7 Day timmer + or - 12 hours. She is never up before 6 days 12 hours and never up past 7 days 12 hours. She is reset at all server crashes and patches.
Slowed: ...... As far as I know Vox can NOT be slowed, never seen it happen. And can NOT be snared or feared!

Getting to Vox:

Permafrost: Print map from EQ Atlas: www.eqatlas.com.

Make your way to the “King Room” and have everyone bind at the rock just north of area 3 on the map. Clear all the mobs up to Vox’s lair (which is marked by a 1 on the map). If you just stay along the north wall, follow it and you will come to the area where you see the ramps and the traps (marked by the boxes with X’s in them). Make sure you kill the two “ice terrors”, one in front of Vox’s door and one down the hall West of Vox’s door. Don’t fall in the pit traps. If you get to close to Vox’s door you will agro the whole room so leave the door alone and don’t stand near it. Do all your fighting in the hall where all the ramps lead to the traps; this is good spot to kill. Make sure you either snare all mobs or keep them from running because they will run into the lair and agro everything. Grats, your now ready to clear the lair.

Clearing Vox’s Lair:

Method 1:
(My preferred method) Bring a druid; they make everything so much easier. Have everyone rebind at the rock just North of area 2 on the map. Druid will move to the “evac spot” which is the West end of the hallway that has all the ramps in it. Cleric is puller (must be lvl 52 or lower), they will open the door to Vox’s lair take a few steps in, get agro from anything, then turn around spamming “evac” and run to druid (evac is a 10 sec. Cast so don’t delay). After Cleric/Druid have safely evaced, the tank will move in and pull the giants (pull as many as you feel comfortable, there are 4 giants, 1 ice terror, and a Priest of Nagafen). Cleric/Druid will gate back in for heals. This works extremely well with a little practice. Things that *** this up are: Cleric hitting DA or DB … cant port while this spell is in effect, Cleric runs the wrong way and ends up in one of the pits (Ill cover pit recovery later), Cleric gets nuked or stunned on the way back to evac spot (buff the heck out of cleric MR, CR, HPs), Druid waits too long to hit evac and cleric dies at his feet. Rinse and repeat this until lair is clear, takes just a few min to do this.

Method II:
This one sucks but it is how I did it because I only had my two toons. Have cleric run into lair, get agro, run to zone out. When cleric is zoned out, tank will gain agro on mobs chasing the cleric. Cleric will gate back and resume healing. Best spot for this is next to king room (kill all the little gobbies first and the Diplomat by the doors). This takes longer because the casters are slow and usually get out ran chasing the cleric, so this will take 3-4 times to get them all. Don’t wait too long to zone the cleric or you WILL get Vox on the pull (Vox is NOT tethered to her room). Make sure you do a couple of practice runs before you attempt this so you don’t get lost and know the most direct route out of zone. Also, if everything goes wrong make sure you know “/q” command for chain deaths. By the time you log back on, all mobs should be reset and safe to log back in rez and repeat (having a clicky cleric will save you a lot of experience and time here).

Method III:
Beg, borrow, steal, a Monk/SK (must be lvl 52 or lower). If you have a friend great if not plz let the Monk/SK roll on lewts or just give him something for his time. When you FD pull make sure the puller stays down or you will have Vox eating you all.

Method IV:
Make a “ghost”. This is a naked toon that you buff up and park at Vox’s lair. Helps if you can bind them at the lair saves time on rezes. Just buff the ghost up and pull the giants to ramp hallway, ghost will die, then just engage giants as they come out. It’s important that you don’t attack anything until the ghost is dead. Rinse and repeat. Drawbacks to this method is you have to have a extra account or be damn good at switching toons before you tank dies.

Method V:
Send in anyone but the Tank and Cleric and let them die. See above. Really there is hundreds of methods of clearing this lair, just use your imagination and learn to play with what you got. One this is for certain, you HAVE to have someone who is lvl 52 or lower to pull the lair with.

Setup and Buffs:
Set up:
Move to the ramp leading up to Vox’s lair. Have healers bind on the lower ramp against the East wall. This wall will protect them from Vox’s AE spells/nukes/fear. Always keep a wall between the Healers and Vox! Vox will be positioned at the top of the ramp pined up against the wall of the lair. This makes it easy to avoid Vox’s wrath and still be able to heal tank. Tank will be positioned on the upper part of the ramp whacking at Vox.

Buffs:
The Tank will put on his Insta-click buff first. Followed by 4-6 junk buffs (see invis, RP, RD, KEI, etc). Then buff up the goodies: HPs, MR, CR, Seasons, DS, Fo7, etc … basically whatever you got. If you have a druid I recommend that you put the DS (damage shield) just after the junk buffs, this will allow him to rebuff it when needed or dispelled. If no druid, then you will want to put you self buff DS on very last (the DS’s will stack so use them both). If you have too many buffs loose some junks but put your buffs in order of least important to most important. Healers will want KEI as a minimum: VoQ+, SD+, Po9+ is always a bonus.

Killing Vox:
As soon as you cast you DS (stinging warts potion), run into lair until you agro Vox and run back out. Move down the first section of the ramp to the middle landing and wait there. Don’t get impatient, Vox is slow and gets stuck breaking out of her lair. As soon as she rounds the corner and is at the top of the ramp engage her. Push her against the East wall there and keep her centered there. Tip: make a macro key and set it up with your kick/taunt/insta-click you only have to spam one key instead of 3. Clerics you will want to only use your CH (complete heals) for healing tanks. Heals/HPs ratio is approximately like this: 7-8k tanks heal at 20 percent, 6k tanks heal at 30 percent, 5k tanks heal at 40-50 percent, 3-4k tanks heal at 60-70 percent. Use your first heal early then gage the rest of your heals accordingly, don’t waist mana, you’ll need it. Yes, you CAN sit between heals without agroing Vox. NO, you can’t take a peek without getting nuked. The only time you’ll see Vox is when she is dead ... healers. If your 53+ you can go up and watch the fight without being banished but you WILL get nuked/debuffed. This fight lasts for aprox 7-10 min depending. GRATS!!!

Recommended Groups:
My Best Group:
52 WAR: 7924 HPs, 1380 AC, 250+ MR/CR/FR, (raid buffed)
69 CLR: FT 16, VoQ, SD, Po9
Very twinked war easy kills, easy to clear lair with, takes me 1 hour for each dragon (Vox and Naggy), and add about 30 min travel time.

Recommended First Attempt
48-52 Tank (any class): 5k HPs (buffed), 180+ MR CR, Insta-Click item
2/ 46-52 Clerics: FT6, KEI
49-52 Druid: Evac, Clearing, Healing, Nuking, Buffing, DS, etc
This will be challenging and fun group!

Alternate Groups
Tank: Most important is MR, CR, HPs, Insta-click
Cleric: Look at the HPs 7-8k tank = 1 Cleric, 5-6k HPs = 2 Clerics, 3-4k HPs = 3 Clerics.
Druids: Druids just make this whole thing much, much, much easier!!! They offer so much in terms of spot healing, buffing, evacing, snaring, DSing, Porting for KEI/Fo7/Brells/Naggy … if you want to have fun I suggest a Druid lvl 49+ (lvl 49 is when Druids get a upgrade to there DS line of spells). Get a Treehugger!

Miscellaneous Info:
LvL Info:
The only people who have to be lvl 52 or lower are the Tank (that fights Vox) and the puller of the lair (which can be the tank). Clerics/Druids/Sham/Ench/etc that are over lvl 52 can make a huge difference. They can make clearing all the trash much faster/easier, they can buff up the tank before and during battle, they can take out adds (in the odd event you get one). All they need to do is bind somewhere close to where you want them and if they get banished by Vox all they have to do is gate back in. Having one cleric lvl 52 or lower is nice because then you always have someone with your tank … just in case. But when I ask peeps to help me I usually get one of my friends 65+ to come along.

Banished:
When a 53+ person gets banished they are ported to Everfrost at the Everfrost/Permafrost zone line.

53+ Attacks on Vox:
Nothing will hit/touch/effect Vox if it is done by a player over the lvl or 52. Yes, pets too do absolutely NOTHING even when it looks like they are attacking Vox.

CR:
Corps retrieval is a pain. If you have a corps in the “Pit”, you have several options. Use invis potions/items to jump down and drag corps to Vox’s lair. None of the mobs in the pit see invis except The Chilling Terror and he is easy to avoid. If your lvl 52 or less, as soon as you drop into Vox’s lair everything will agro you, I suggest you run out of the room to the ramp and die (easier to just have cleric rez you then train everything). If your 53+, as soon as you drop into Vox’s lair you will be banished and will have to have someone pull it out that is lvl 52 or lower (again just die at the top of the ramp). You can always have a Necro summon you but…. I hate waiting. Tip: always carry invis potions on you for this occasion and make sure everyone has one. Of course Monks/SKs/Rogues make great CR peeps also. Invis is your friend in here it just don’t work around Vox.

Giants:
All giants are on a 4-6 hour timer in here except the Diplomat and one other giant that isn’t near the ramps. It is the same with the giant spiders and the ice terrors, 4-6 hour timer.

MR, CR, Insta-Clicky:
MR (magic resistance) effects how often you are feared. If you are feared you cannot be healed and are usually out of range anyway. I recommend MR over 200 just to be safe. CR (cold resistance) affects how often you are debuffed (randomly) and how often you are nuked. 500 HPs DD every few seconds gets real taxing on your HPs, not to mention loosing those random buffs. I recommend CR over 200. Insta-clicky is supper nice because this is a long fight you don’t want to have 10 junk buffs on you. Insta-clicky just makes it easy to keep your beneficial buffs up longer.

Drops:
Staff of Forbidden Rites no longer drops and hasn’t for about 2 years. Scimitar of the Mistwalker no longer drops from this mob … actually I’ve never seen it drop /frown. The spell: Ice Comet never seen this drop in the last 2 years.

Equipment Suggestions: (when setting up your gear make sure that you will have MR, FR, CR over 200 then start building up HPs)

Arms: Elbow Spiked Armguards, Kizrak's Armband of Battle, Farwater Plate Vambs
Back: Lodizal Shell Shield (great saves), Heirophants Cloak
Chest: Fierce Heraldic BP, Kizrak's Chest (highly recomend for self buff)
Ear: Shrunken Goblin Skull Earring (highly recomended for insta-clicky), Bloodmetal Earring of Engagement, Iron Cog Earring
Face: Mask of the dragon slayer, Thulean Visage of Horror
Feet: Boots of the Storm
Finger: Valorium Ring of Gallantry, Steel Ring of Earthen Resiliance
Hands: Velium Encrusted Gaunts, Warlord Steel Gaunts, Kizrak's Gaunts of Battle (highly recomended for self haste)
Head: Crown of Froglock Kings (nice saves), White Dragon Helm
Legs: Ferce Heraldic, Kizrak's Greaves of Battle
Neck: Necklace of Superiorty, Shell Inlaid Collar, Black Plated Collar
Shoulder: Barbed Rubicite Pauldrons, Horn Spiked Shoulder Plates
Waiste: Runed Bolster Belt
Wrist: Crystal Acid Bracers, Kizrak's Bracer of Battle
Charm: Intricate Wooden Figurine (tag along on raids and get your flags ... worth it)
Range: Idol of Wavecrasher, Ceramic Totem of Xegony
Primary: Blade of Carnage (do ldons get your weaps auged with lifetaps)
Secondary: Splitblade of Destruction, Sceptar of Destruction

About Me:
I’ve been killing these dragons (Vox and Naggy) for over 4 years. I’ve led hundreds of raids on them back in the old days when we thought it took 30-50 peeps to kill them. After all the frustrating raids and *** ups and ninja lewters, I started to have ideas that I was making this too difficult. So I started trying new things with some very close friends of mine. I’ve died hundreds of times developing my ideas. About three years ago I set up a raid on them with 18 peeps … and won … then 12 peeps … and won … then I had the idea of pulling them instead of charging them … worked great because I could keep healers from taking damage … then I worked out the resists needed … WHOOT … I had the raid down to 5-6 peeps … for a long time I used war cleric druid, worked great, but my goal to box them was not yet achieved. Then the patch came with the new expansion and I heard about some healing potions … I gathered a few stacks and tried to solo Naggy … I died … so I gathered 20 stacks of potions (300 HPs heal/click) WHOOT soloed … then nerf (timer between potions effects) back to 3 toons. Finally, I finished cooking Ribbid my replacement WAR . I went hunting … OMG I Boxed my baby dragons! … NOW WHAT /sigh. Well, I up and gave all my sh*t away and quit EQ lmfao. My personal best record on killing sprees is 7 Vox/Naggy kills in one 16 hour period due to patches, zone crashes, server crashes.
