What is the visually most attractive placeFollow

Nothing comes close to Citadel of Anguish. Awesome looking zone.
For overall feeling I'd say Inkukta comes clase cause of the traps, sounds and events there makes it a scary place and also kinda makes me feel like Lara Croft or any other tomb raider. Love thoose 2 zones.

I thought POP had some of the most interesting looking zones (LOOKING being the keyword of course). Althought the only way I ever seen most of them was the emulator thanks to the BS Planar Progression quest being required to see them. I thought Plane of Time A was neat looking as was Plane of Fire. Plane of Torment had a nice look as well.

About every expansion past POP has looked like crap IMO. You can tell they was thrown together quickly and that mob placement probably took little to no thought.

I liked the water gardens at Stillmoon Temples. But then again I like Japanese culture and there's quite a lot of Japanese theme in that zone.

I am very fond of all the Karanas, but South Karana is probobly my favorite, with the views of the Centaur and Aviak areas on the horizon in the middle of the day or at sunset.

The kunark zones were released way before all the graphics overhauling of course, but I do enjoy a run through those zones (when I have nowhere to go--if I have a destination it's tedious) just for the sake of exploration. The size of some of those vast, open zones is of epic proportions. All that world stretching out before you waiting to be discovered. This can be said of a lot of oldworld zones too, the karanas, lake rathe...

The new DoD zones have great effects as well; look at the view from atop the waterfall in Undershore (CC side). And seeing dreadspire from the "dropoff" zoneline in the Hive.

Now, if I wanted somewhere to go to escape the hectic grind of the game and relax, I would head out to a remote island in Ocean of Tears; with the new water effects the zone is a paradise, and a near desolate one at that. There is also Hollowshade Moor on Luclin, with some of the lushest, most mesmerizing scenery (stand on a mountain and look out) I've seen. A lot of luclin zones were nice outdoorsy places.

A lot of velious was well done too. If kunark is the "large wide open, tropical/temperate fields" expansion, velious is that but with a lot of snow and sparkling icy waters. Hey, white and black are colors that go well with everything, and Velious is all white. Plus, Crystal Caverns is one of my favorite zones; that is a spelunker's dream (and shiny things to boot!).

I'm glad someone mentioned Nedaria. If you can get around the mobs wanting to kill you, it's a great place to relax. The music helps to this effect.

I liked some of the DoN zones too, beautiful architecture, but not enough to captivate me, as it's a bit on the cliche side. Still, some parts, like the stillmoon gardens, with shadows and advanced lighting on, are godly.

Hell, why am I even trying? There are so many to mention it'd take all night to review. It would be easier to mention zones that were not visually appealing (not that they werent well done; poi, given its lore, I dont think should be a fantastic, gleaming place). You could make an epic-in-photos of EQ zones.

Facing eastward across Dagnor's Cauldron as the sun comes up over the crater lake. The sky coloration is awesome, and with the improved water modeling it is truly a sight.

The Kunark expansion is one of the best..closely followed by HoHa andHoHb, Time is nice, PoEarth is kinda awesome, Luclin has some terrific sites, but as a player of nearly 6 years, Kunark had a TON of thought and design for its era.

I think the zone I felt the most relaxing and comfortable is still Nedaria's Landing... I found it accidentally before it was finished... I fell in love w/ the waterfall and all.. It is still a fun place to go and swim and sit and chat... One zone that I am sorry I was not around to enjoy when it might have been a busier place, was Erudin... The city is so beautiful ( and sadly so empty :( ) I love the layout of it.. and clean smart shops there... It is a beautiful place to visit.. Sadly, there is not much reason, unless you need a spell or something that is only available there.. It saddens me to see so many pretty areas, that are always so empty.. I also enjoyed the City of Shar Val, when it came out.. It was a fun challenge to find my way around it to complete my citizenship quest... Now, it is just another empty city :(

While I've journied to many places throughout Norrath, such as Velious, Antonica, Kunark, and my home of Luclin, I've found some of the most beautiful, and most attractive lands to be in the Jaggedpine. My warder and I will sit there for hours and hours at end, we find it most intriguing that the driads will show up out of nowhere but a small flash of light. The animals are wonderous, even the gnolls I can tolerate. The only thing ruining the face of this forest are the poachers, as we wait for the sunset we often come across many of them, but I'll tell ya, they don't see sunset, the last things they see are my claws and my warders teeth. As for beautiful cities, you cannot go wrong with the beutifully walled in city of Felwithe, those High Elves aren't the most friendly type, but their city is most pleasing to the eyes. The work on the buildings, the stream that I can fish in, and of course the protection it offers the pointy eared friends of mine. Well I've been rambling on here, have to get back to saving Norrath from the scum of evil......End journal entry November 26th, 2005 A.D.

Personally love the detail in VT. Never used to be able to appreciate it untill we went back there with a couple of groups for some fun and you can see the detail in it.

As most others seem to agree I love Kunark and think it was a well thought out expansion. And love DoD with the new instanced zones has given EQ a good facelift and revitalised a lot of the players.

Will soon be able to see CoA and judge how attractive that place is.

I was taken aback watching my first sunrise and sunset in the Northern Desert of Ro at the small Barbarian village on the north end of the beach. Nothing in the Karanas or the Commonlands prepared me for the sight as a level 10 Barbarian freshly run across the continent from Halas

The tower of Solusek Ro is really amazing. It is epic, large, and very well done in terms of mood, environment and lore. Try looking up sometimes, the scale is very large.

Near the entrance to Sebilis... not immediately next to the bubble, but rather when you cross through the arch by the waterway and the "hall of statues" leads toward the ruined city. That scene, old as it is, still takes my breath away. It gives a great sense of the majesty that once was plus the ghosts give an eerieness and the jungle is like no other.

There are many many other stellar things, but this spot always brings a sense of glory and wonder to the world of EverQuest.

Well the prettiest city zone I think has to be Sanctus Seru, I also have gotten an incredible screen shot from Firona Vie watching the ship leave port just a split second before the boat faded out and I got a great sunset screen shot with the silhouette of the boat.

Eryslai, the Kingdom of Wind was one of my favorite raid zones from a visual perspective.

Favorite over all zone from a visual point of view would most likely be Corathus Creep, pain in the butt to navigate but still a cool looking zone...

Best reconfigured zone has to be Lavastorm Mountains, the original zone was just not that well done, but the redesign was pretty good...

Quite a few come to mind...

Ocean of Tears or Twilight Sea is a great place to go to relax and unwind with a fishing pole. However, Twilight Sea is a bit too bright nowadays.

Dragon Necropolis is a well-done zone. Its cold and dark. Dragon statues and tombs everywhere. Bones that when disturbed summon the spirit of their owner, etc.

The New Plane of Hate looks really good. It feels very foreboding and tense.

The Hole... Varies from caverns to castles, towers and a buried city. No better rush in the game then casting Harmshield looking down and jumping in from Paineel and landing at the feet of Guardian of the Seal.

Charasis, the Howling Stones would be a fun zone to explore, but the faction hit makes me want to go out and club baby seals.

Why care about Venril Sathir faction? Because... One of my favorite places in the game is the Overthere Outpost. Lev up onto the wall and look out at the ocean with the docks below you and the mountains in the distance.... Absolutely breathtaking.

Im quite particular about scenery in Gfay, Kelethin in particular. Think it has something to do with my first views of the game running behind husbands char and falling to our deaths repeatedly. but the view from behind the rogues guild is pretty, the tress part in just such a way as to give a actual "view"

I must say Skyfire Mountains, Lavastorm, Nedaria's Landing, Emerald Jungle, and less I forget Plane of Mischief there's just something about the whole Alice in Wonderland feel about it. I'm sure there are others I'm just not thinking of them right now.

I always love running from the port in point in Dranik's Scar down the valley towards the Noble's Causeway zoneline. And strange (or old school) as it may sound, when I was a newbie running around Blackburrow several years ago, the first time I ran out of the tunnel leading to Everfrost and saw the veiw down that first canyon is something that I'll always remember.
