I always love the act players put one when they are leaving a guild. They go on like its a life changeing move and they want to be friends and help the guild still. Then 10 minutes later you see them in (insert more popular guild here). The guild they was in took them in when they wasn't lvl 70, but now that they are lvl 70 basically the guild they are in isn't good enough for them so they leave for another. I mean geez just be honest and say the truth.

how is moving on to a raiding guild/more progression oriented guild, and wanting to help your old guild in any way, shape, or form contradictory?

I see that one kind of both ways Groogle. The raid guild wouldnt normally have taken them if someone did help them get to where the raid guild would want them, and can understand how those who are left behind would feel some betrayal.

That being said it is a game to have fun and tying yourself forever to people that wont let you experience the game the way you want to is not going to make it fun.

Sadly most of the people (not all) but most of the people I know who leave to go to a raiding guild burn out of game faster then those who stay casual and family guild oriented, and either quit playing entirely or come back to the smaller guild.
