Hypothetical Question:

A new guild member is inducted.

Said member, after about an hour, begins begging guildies for plat.

What happens next?

Before issuing a Guild Invite to Arcane Madness all officers have been instructed to review the Guild rules before hand.

Example:

1) No Begging for PL'ing, Plat or Gear. If a member chooses to do any of these it should be at their choice.

2) No Drama - None needed nor wanted. Bring issues to the attention of an Officer

3) Guild Bank access is restricted for new members....please ask an Oficer for assistance. Item withdrawl will be at the Officers discetion

4) Have fun - remember you will benefit from this guild what you contribute to it.

That is usually the spiel new members get and agree to before they get an invite. They get one warning....after that we wish them luck and deguild them.

In your Hypothetical Guild, what kind of application period is there?

Any rules?

Are you all stinking rich and like to give stuff away? Does your Guild normally give hand me downs? Are all hunts 100% NBG? Does the Expert Researcher make requests for free?

I hate whiny people.. but.. how did this person get in?

Hypothetical inductee would likely not make it to induction in our guild. Imposing a 5K tagging fee tends to discourage that sort from applying...Smiley: wink

Alternate *hypothetical*: you get tagged if you sponsor website for 6 months...then you can beg all you want...

Getting back to OP, we have had applicants (people not yet tagged) get a summary thumbs-down for displaying deplorable behavior in the past. Likely as not this [begging] behavior would surface before they get tagged. I guess we have been lucky in that (except for Frakkor) we have not had to caution new guildies about behavior too much and certainly not to the point of deguilding. Most people who make it through our easy application process know how we play and know how we expect people to behave.

Just kidding, Frak!

People who beg in my guild do not make it past their probation period. They are there for a month and maybe 2 at most and then get booted.
