Hey.

I have some toons that I want/need to bring up their fishing skills. Off and on I have seen a few comments made about good fishing spots and even (gasp!!) making a few PP doing it. But things have been changing pretty rapidly recently, so I thought I might ask if anyone wanted to share some RECENT suggestions?

i like to fish in lava even though you cant catch anything but emotes lol ) you have to do it just right or itl say something about landsharks ( or at least it used to i dunno anymore)

Fishing alone, below 200, won't get you much.

However one method to make some pp is fishbone darts if you have/know a fletcher. Folks (Monks) will pay up to 5pp for the darts. One fishbones makes 5 darts. Fresh fish will yield fishbones, any named fish - I use Wulf Fish in Karnor's - yield high quality fishbones.

Fresh Fish + Celladine + Roots + Fillet knife = Prepared fish + fishbones+ knife return.

Fish bones+ whitling knife = 5 fishbone darts.

If you fish the fish and forage the roots it costs about 1pp per dart. If you buy your fish and roots it's about 1pp 2gp per dart. Dart is 2dmg/20 dly range 225. HQ fishbones yield a whitled dart which is 3dmg/20 dly range 250. I sell darts for 3 pp in stacks of 100.

I think triv is about 170 for fishbones and 162/182 respectively for the darts. Fishing/Fletching.

Upside is Fishing is one of the few tradeskills that makes pp ( well sp actually) right from the start, and you'll always have something to eat. Anyway, it does make money.

Corathus Creep has some nice fished items that cen be used to get brewing from 248 to 290 or so.

You can use these items yourself, or sell them in bulk in Baz for a nice profit.
