Vast Differences in ServersFollow

There Vast differences in Server Economy's. Most peeps don't realize. They grow there toons and never leave there home. In the last week I raised up two toons one on Zek and another on FV. I was amazed to see the dynamic of the two. On zek I think everyone buys plat to get there toon into the 40's the low end is absolutly distroyed by PVP there is noway to make plat on low end because you are constantly being killed by twinked lv 11-12 with 190 magic / fire/ cold /.... resist 300 ac 500hp Nec's with crazy regin. Saw a lv 3 cleric solo the glooming queen (she is lv 7 I think) This cleric was regening hp faster than the spider could dish it out It took a long time to finish the fight and the cleric was at 98% when it was over and I never saw her cast heal once just nuke the spider and beat her with a club. then I go to POK and see Tells offering safe access to DoD and DoN mission like 1.5k to 5kpp for a spot in a mission. on FV the stuff we pay top PP for on my main server is being left to rot I am still in the tutorial on FV but It is already appearent the are drastic differences.

I was always wondering what happens to new poeple joining PvP servers. I'm sure it runins a bit of the fun plus regular XP grinds are dagersous because you can't trust your group so most fols solo any how. That servers economy is whacked out just because of the risk involved in getting experiance. How hard is it to camp somehting like the fungi? say you were and you got waxed my some one else then that some one gets whacked and so on and so on untill the mob pops and some one kills you and steals the agro since you are dead it's not considered KSing. So the winner of the frey makes out like a bandit. That must make necromancers shaman and wizzies look appealing.

the differance on the FV srver is that you can buy most no drop items that get left to rot. So the chance to own plane of time gear might be worth buying plat to the casual non rading type.

Saying that there's a vast difference between PvP servers and Non-PvP servers is more than just stating the obvious...

I've never played on a PvP server because many of the people that a PvP server attract are the type that really ruin the whole gaming experience for me. I have played on FV, Tunare, and on Stromm. There are economy differences in all of them, but it's most noticable on FV for obvious reasons. However, no matter what server you go to, you'll find that the vast majority of puppets running around under 50-ish have been twinked to some extent. It's just the nature of the game these days.

The cleric you were talking about was probably wearing a Fungus Covered Scale Tunic. A must-have item for any pre-50 soloer.

Since the merger Zek has gone down hill PvP when first introduced was fun and exciting. Most the player were honorable and used the PvP aspect for what it was designed for zone control. Now it seems PvP is only to kill other player by any means trianing a group so you can pick 1 or 2 off while they are dealing with the train is common. The honor of PvP has left the game and the current situation is what you have left.

Even moreso, comapring Zek and FV, the only 2 alternate ruleset servers is silly.

All other servers have strikingly similar economies:

AoN is expensive.
No rec/req level twink gear is expensive.
Flavor of the month tradeskill items are in demand.
Rec/req level items are fairly cheap.
Old world items are insanely cheap (Unless they have godly effects/procs)
Non no trade epic quest parts are expensive.
Items that were farmed relentlessly but are now obsolete are fairly cheap. (Luclin and velious weapons)

My point is there are so many peps that only play one server and don't realize the differences. The people on most servers look down on buying plat and toons but it is the norm on zek. peps that have never been on zek would'nt know

I think that you will find that cross server transfers are very common nowadays.

Most of the members of our guild would have spent time on at least three diferent servers in the endeavor to find the right mix of community and people they like to play with.
