Yea, I know, there's alot of these posts and you are all probably tired of seeing them, but after playing WoW since release, I just feel like I'm missing something and I have to come back to EQ. I enjoy WoW alot, but nothing compares to my EQ experience.

Anyways, I was just wondering if any of you could recommend a server for me. I don't have my old accounts anymore, so I pretty much have to start out fresh. I made a character on my old server (Prexus), but I had a hard time getting a group for anything. I know it's like this on most servers but I was just seeing if some are better than others for the new/returning players, thanks for the info.

If you left eq at release of WoW there have been some changes. In regards to the ones that will affect you is the disappearence of the casual player.

Finding groups for casual players is near impossible unless you join a casual player guild.

Both the quantity and quality of casual guilds is way down.

Good Luck.

I'm not a casual gamer, I did high end raiding almost every night when I played Everquest, I'm looking to get back into that, but if it is going to take me forever to get to lvl 70, I may reconsider coming back, just wanting some opinions if it's easier to start on certain servers.

If your goal is to raid then most every server will be fine. Most of the remaining player population is in the raiding business, more so then ever b4.

As far as leveling, Monster Missions give good xp across all levels and during levels 1 - 55 they are really the only place you can consistently find groups.

BTW compared to WOW yes leveling in EQ is excrutiating.

Good Luck.

Heh, yea I wouldn't doubt that. Thanks for the info , I'm going to be playing a class that has at least decent soloability and I'll try the monster missions out.

With the potions available now, you can solo any class easily into the 50's; server really doesn't matter for the lower levels. I think that Stromm was my favorite, however.

As I just stated in another post around here somewhere I would check out the servers, Stromm, Povar or Maelin Starpyre for lower level groupage opportunites.

Welcome back.
