Want to rejoin EQ, problems,...Follow

Hi there!

I wanted to reactivate my old EQ Account. Been playing from shortly after beta to midway PoP. Meanwhile i tried to find another game that addicts as much, but no luck hehe.

Well now i want to come back and running into a wall here. For some reasons i cannot log into the EQ Mainforums, it tells me i am logged in,.. but as soon as i hit the forums, i am logged out again. Just can't get it to work.

Second Problem (more of a problem kinda). My old EQ CDs don't seem to work to well. I can install everything, but if i try to patch it tells me "missing files on update server".
I know EQ got a new patcher, i used that one as well when i left. But from my instalation i only get the old, wich doesnt seem to work anymore.

Now i tried to download the game, but had no luck. I may only download it if i create a new account it seems. Not to reactivate an existing. But i dont want to make a new account at all *cough* got two... no need for a third.

So basicly,.. can anyone point me to a downloadlink or a way to reactivate my account, without having the game installed already?

Really want to get back :-)

Thanks in advance!

check out the main EQ site. You can download the new patcher from there which should help you get up and running.

You should beable to reactivate you old account through the station at everquest.com that is where your actual info is stored like your credit card info and what expansions you are signed up for and all that jazz

The problem with the station account is, that i never HAD one when i was an EQ subscriber. So my old subscription is not listed there. Only my EQ2 one and the SWG trial (god that was awful).. not my EQ ones tho,...

And i cant find the patcher anywhere on the side. But ill just keep looking for it. Thanks for the infos! :-)

Are you sure you had seperate station names for EQ, EQ2 and SWG? My sons account has all three under the same station access name. Perhaps the problem is that you assume they were different names, and you actually need to enter in the other name to get access to EQ.

Thanks for the link... patching now :-)

As for the station name. I never had one for EQ. Thats why my subscription doesnt show up. I dont know since when you actually need one for playing EQ. But you did NOT have to have one when the game released. I first made a station account when i started the EQ2 beta.

At least i guess thats why it doesnt show up...

only lists 2hours 45min to download all missing data. Now THATS fast. Sounds a bit to fast even... but i am not complaining. Can't wait to get back on the show. EQ is still the best game out there.

make sure you go into the advanced options and check all expansions that you have on your account. Do another complete file check and make sure you have everything you need :)

You have always needed a station name to play eq (at least the last few years)..you might be confusing the station name, with a Station Pass which give you access to play most of SoE online games for $20+ per month.

If your account for EQ2 is ONLY an EQ2 account, you'll have to either 1.) create a new account, or 2.) upgrade it to a Station Pass. That is, if you can't get your orignial station information for your EQ account.

oh i have all my old accountinfos still. Something made me sure ill come back anyways,.. hehe

As for the station name. I really have no clue.. i could swear i never had one and did not need one to start EQ. But thats what? 6years? 7? ago lol. I just hope i don't need that stationname to reactivate my account O_o,... now that would suck, as i have no idea, if i had one,... what it could be.

talk to customer support. if you can give them the original CC info, they'll help you get yoru account, otherwise you'll have to get a new account. You can now get a digital download of EQ platinum that contains the first 7 expanions for $19.99...the boxed version game with 30 days free...not sure on the DD version.

good luck!

hmm now that would be bad... but i remember that i reactivated my account once and only had to put in new billing infos..as i still have the name / password to log in. Ah well ill see... 4.6hours to go (checked all expansions now,...glad you mentioned that).

Hope all goes smooth,...starting all over would be a compleatly other story. I guess all my equipment is crap compared to currentraidtargets. But still its quite nice to level and catch up id say. hmm... want that back kinda ;-)

Just start eq, get past the patcher and the disclamer (or whatever it is). Then at the first menu, click on account. A web page will load. Log in with your eq account and you can access everything you need.

Your Station name is the same as your login name for the game. Alwyas has been since 1999.
