I was just randomly posting ealier and all of a sudden my named turned to scholar. I dont have premium membership and i have seen people with more posts than me that arent scholars.
You get scholar when your Karma Rating goes over 3.01. Someone rated youup for some reason....probably me on one of my I'm bored so I'll rate random people up in the EQ forums nights.

People seem to get maliciously rated down all the time, so I tend to be pretty free with my rate-ups.
I tend to just go through the EQ forum giving random people scholar.

Read the asylum posts to see what rat ups are all about it's funny to see them freak out about ratings

I was thinking just the opposite, Iludin. :P
And I thought you got "titles," such as scholar, from the number of posts you made not the ratings for individual posts.

Q: I see posters rated as Scholar, Sage and Guru. What's up with that and how do I get a title?
A: That is part of the Karma system. Your Karma rating is determined by averaging every rating your posts have received from the users of the site. The rating comes from posts made under your registered name on any of the rated forums for any game covered by allakhazam.com, but does not include posts on user journals. You must have at least 15 posts before you receive a Karma rating. Then any future post you make will start out at your Karma level. Anonymous posts start at a rating of 2. Titles are assigned to your posts according to the following scale:
Karma below 3 = user. Posts are in dark blue.
Karma between 3.01 and 3.65 = scholar. Posts are in yellow.
Karma between 3.66 and 4.34 = sage. Posts are in green.
Karma between 4.35 and 5 = guru. Posts are in red.
/edit I can't type correctly for anthing today. And Furthermore, I seem to be labeled in Dark Blue, but my rating is 3.58, so it seems some of us are color impaired lately. I'll get better, I hope

I think those are the colors for the FFXI stylesheet. EQ is

So all new posters, be careful, post something useful or witty to make your ratings go up early, they barely change later unless you really get obnoxious.
Stuck at 2.95 for like a year now lol.
