I can't get past the shissar loremaster on the 2nd floor of ssra temple. So if comm2 is over in that area I can't check to make sure. But if I can get a 2nd one to spawn just by killing mobs in the tube room.....:)) This guide (http://www.the-commune.com/jolo/guides/ssra/#named) says there can be more than one comm2 up at the same time. Can anybody confirm this?
In all the weeks spent across multiple toons keying for emp, I've never seen more than 1 of any comm up at any given time (with a tracker). But, I can't prove that it can't happen.

Through months of being in that zone I can tell you that you cant have 2 of the same Comm up at one time. You can have Comm1 and Comm2 up at the same time but not 2 of the same.
I don't see where it says 2 comm 1 or 2's can pop at the same time. Can you pinpoint that portion of the text for me as I'd like to see it.

Yes there are two comm1 and two spots.
I've never seen 2 of the same Commander up at the same time, and I spent a significant amount of time there as well keying up for the Emp. Comm 1 can spawn anywhere on the first floor, Comm 2 can spawn anywhere on the next floor. Typically, fighting in the room around the tube is your best bet if they aren't already up. With a good enough group, you can clear the room around the tube on the first floor, then bounce up through the tube to the next floor and clear that room. That way you can try to get both Comms at the same time.
Some people are like slinkies, they aren't really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

The Shissar Mystic likes to spawn near the High Priest / Creator toob room. I frequently find him in the 3-spawn cubby with the locked coffin, or as one the two 'guards' directly beyond the locked coffin. Oddly enough, I've seen TWO of these guys up at once.
He drops the shaman spells, 'Acumen of Dar Khura' and 'Primal Essense', so sometimes you'll be camping this mob for your favorite shammy.

You can't have two of the same comms up at the same time but there are two main spots that are considered camps for comm1 and 2
